PLEASE HELP: Low Elo Assassin Searching For Advice From More Experienced Players

Hello! I am a Silver IV assassin main, and I'm looking to climb the hell that is Ranked. At this point I am just looking to get into gold before the end of the season, and I'm finding that as I'm playing assassins the way my game turns out has more to do with how my team does than how I do. This isn't to say that "I don't belong in the elo" and "these players suck", but in my games it is common that people on my team will do things like go on tilt, argue with one another, and purposely perform poorly in game.

I'm looking for advice on how to better my gameplay in order to play my best and improve. I still have a lot to learn, I know that, but I am doing everything I can. I'm playing lower mechanical champions to focus on macro game play, focusing on warding, looking at the minimap, learning match ups, waiting for the right time in team fights (if they ever even happen), roaming, not roaming, attempting to itemize based on the enemy team (I believe I am doing this right but am not sure), and not flashing for kills.

Any advice from any elo gold+ would be helpful.

I mainly play Katarina , but also do well on Talon, Shaco (I've managed to get his mechanics down pretty well), Fizz, and Rengar.

My primary role is mid, but I also jg decently.

I feel that game has become much more team oriented nowdays. Your game turning out according to how your team does has nothing to do with you being assassin tbh , its same for all roles. You can't carry 1v5 seriously and after 30-35 min mark its literally about which team throws harder.

Best way to climb is to keep playing , focus on your game and ignore your teammates. Try to spot where you made mistakes and improve on them. Watch streams/high elo games and see how those people play. You cannot control how your teammates play but you can control how you will play. So focus on your game and keep improving , you will climb in time. GL and HF! =D

secure all drags and barons, especially baron. considering silver players love to death match baron is a game ending buff almost every time along with elder.

if you can manage to get all the drags and all the barons/herald then it just creates less ways for your team to fuck up if they do something stupid.

since you main assassins you have a advantage in that you can snowball mid lane very easily and thus control drag and baron as long as your jg isnt incompetent. if you are playing shaco there is no reason why you shouldnt be soloing drag at lvl 6 and then every time it spawns after that.
