2015 mid champ pool

So. My goal this season is to get to gold. I'm very solid at the basic mechanics. I feel my champ pool is to small and i need a few more meta suggestions to climb the ranks. Currently my play style is I like putting damage down with submid ranged champs. Brand, Ryze, ziggs. I need some meta champs that can help carry a little harder. I also play other positions like support adc and top. Not jungle to often. Any meta champs for any position that can carry up the ladder wod be much appreciated.

For mid I'd probably start with LeBlanc...she's very strong right now and the removal of DFG will not hurt her that bad compared to some other mid lane champs. I'd round that off for mid with probably Orianna for utility and harass and maybe a Lux or Azir. Any of those work well and can carry a game...Ori and Azir or more late game oriented where LeBlanc and Lux can start carrying and roaming earlier.

For ADC...Graves is the man to be at the moment with Corki a second. They're never banned for the most part...so knowing them both will give you a strong ADC presence. Pay attention to comps with Corki, however, as he does a lot of magic damage so you don't want your team to be too AP heavy...as long as you have strong jungle AD or Top AD he'll be great.

Xerath is great poke...learn to get his ult down. The only problem with Xerath...no escape...so you tend to have to play passive and rely on poke...when you get all his skill shots down though, he's very effective. He's most effective in overall poke comps, however, so in my opinion he's best played when your comp is heavily seige oriented with like a Nidalee top lane and Trist/Jinx ADC...that could just be me though. Overall...he's decently strong, no complaints...just practice his ult.

Xerath is a good pick. GummyBearWookiee is right about Leblanc, Orianna, and Azir. They are all great mid-laners to learn. Some other mid-laners you should try are Syndra, Cassiopeia, Lissandra, Kassadin, and Fizz. For top lane, I like to play Maokai, Nunu, Irelia, Jax, Gnar, Kassadin, and Lissandra. I like to jungle more unconventional champs, such as Karthus, Quinn, and Fizz; however, some strong meta junglers are Lee Sin, Jarvan IV, Rengar, Elise, and Kha'Zix. For support, I play a lot of Thresh and Janna. Nami, Blitzcrank, Lulu, and Braum are also very strong choices. ADC is the role I play the most. Graves and Corki are VERY strong right now, but I also play a lot of Lucian, Caitlyn, Ezreal, Vayne, and Tristana (who is my most played ADC with my highest win%).
