That's how it's done, son. Enemy laner getting fed and roaming? Catch up on farm. If they can't farm, they'll fall off if people buy wards and deny them kills.
The only problems I have with farming is timing (can't get more than 80ish in custom solo games) and in real games I lose a lot of farm because of trading the other side or my support initiates. So yes, I'm bad at farming.
