Team Builder Active Matchmaking....thing....question....

Say for instance, 3 out of 5 people on my team don't have the active match-making thing, meaning they're playing champs they use frequently in lanes they play frequently. The other two people don't have it active, meaning they're playing champs/roles they are unused to.

Just how big of an impact does this make? Does it make an impact at all?

The reason I ask is because I'm a newb jungler, never done PVP jungling and I really want to. However, I don't wish to get matched up with someone that's been doing it for a while and get absolutely stomped.
