Need some advice on getting over my ADC weakness

tldr; I cant handle when enemies shove their lanes constantly. wat do

I used to be a great ADC; its the roll I started playing in LoL afterall. However, I have always had this ONE huge weakness, and thats when the enemy ADC comes into lane and just outright starts AAing everything, and pushes the lane hardcore. I'm great at farming under turret, thats not the issue, but what is the issue is pressure. These people come in an push the lanes, and hardly miss any CS doing so, and I get so flustered, and miss a lot myself, trying to counter what they're doing

Generally, my poke tactic revolves around waiting for the enemy to LH, then harass them, but often times when my opponent is doing this, I would go in to poke, but their support would harass me, and their ADC would jump in as well. If I try to harass them back, I'll miss my own CS, since I have a rhythm with allied minions, and constantly AAing interrupts that rhythm.

Sometimes I try to just AA back, doing what they're doing, like were some kind of pre-lvl 30s or something, but it just feels so wrong. I tell my junglers that they're easy ganks, because they're constantly pushed up, but I have never once seen my jungler capitalize on a constantly pushed bot lane.

I'm currently trying to get my ADCs back into positive win rate, but I've lost two games today to ADCs who do this. They push hardcore, still manage to harass me, manage to CS better, kill us, take our tower, all this because I just cant handle this kind of tactic. Whenever I go against opponents who DON'T do this, I usually end up dominating, but its like everyone wants to shove lanes and roam these days. I cant take it lol

I just feel like I need to push back, but my mind just doesn't flow that way. I'm so used to the passive farm fests back in the old days

First match today, and the enemy Jinx did nothing but push. But I practiced pushing while CSing yesterday for an hour, and I applied it here and dominated my lane. I did it 1v1 against a bot, and pushed, while harassing the bot as often as I could, while not missing any CS. I was able to keep their jinx/nidalee poked down, and had a CS lead on her as well

Well if they're pushed close to your tower, generally you want to fight them. Thin the wave a bit using some abilities because you don't want to take too much damage from minions - then go in.

Or call a gank. Try and bait them into warding the lane bushes, if you tell the jungler the rivers not warded he's more likely to gank.

I'm not sure this will help you, but it's worth a try. (since you mentioned only practicing csing by only last hitting) Also, depending who you are... Tristana is harder to out push and should be a jungler target due to this habit.

What are your main Adc's? This could help us a little.

Piece of advice #1: Stop spamming Caitlyn; she's helpless towards a hypercarry like Vayne shoving lane into your face constantly Piece of advice #2: Focus on CS over harass. Your numbers are terrible for an ADC. Piece of advice #3: If you're playing defensively as you should be in this situation, wait until your support has a successful engagement on the enemy ADC before trading unless you can ensure enemy support and jungler are nowhere around.

I would say you might want to get a really good support main to duo with you.

Thinking about all the bot lanes I've played, I can't really pin point one where I was constantly shoved under the tower. It might be that your support isn't poking or zoning enemies enough. I mean, I'm not one to point the finger at others, but a good support should threaten the opponent enough that they're not in your face, and you should be following up whenever they poke with whatever ranged skills you might have. (cait q is great for this).

I also see that you seem to run with both a lot of sona or have sona with you (op.gg). Now this might just be a recent trend. Sona's a fun support, do not mistake me. Pre 6, she's not useless, but her cc is severely lacking. so, against a good leona, she's easy prey. Cait/trist don't exactly have a lot of CC either, so really, the lane is super susceptible to ganks as well.

It might be wise to have your supports be more cc oriented than sustain. If you're playing caitlyn passive, you're not playing caitlyn correctly, imho. She only scales well through mid game, so, being aggressive early is really key. You ought to start by standing very close to the front line of your minions with your support either next to you, or at the tip of their side bush. This should provide enough "mental" pressure to cause opponents to back off. Esp if it's like thresh, blitz, leona, etc, that can easily close the gap, or displace them so they have to play more cautiously.

Other than that, yeah, grab a support main you trust, I think might be more helpful. I know I win like 85% of lanes with my support partner, Nanami Kitty. She's really, really good at harassing the enemy. People don't like others getting in their face @ level one, and she capitalizes on that.

I know that seems like a huge win rate, but often times when we're doing that well, that's like.... um, 4 man ganks bot all day after the first 3 kills. And that right there is the reason I hate adc. I don't like being target #1. And I hate 3v2 or 4v2 all game. /tangent

best thing i can recommend to you is to auto every time they auto. this keeps the wave midlane so you don't have to worry about the turret messing with you.

a trick for continually auting a wave without missing cs is if you see a minion you can't kill but it's close to dying, auto a full health minion that's nearby instead so that you can execute the low hp minion on your next attack.

shoving a wave in this manner is really useful because it can give you a minion advantage. this means you can auto harass without taking a ton of minion damage, and they can't auto you back unless they want to take extra minion damage.

obviously there are times when you dont want to do this. if you have no wards and you could be ganked it's better to freeze and farm on your side of the river when possible. but the more you play passively, the more likely you are to get harassed out of lane. it's a fine line.
