Dear Boards,

I come to you seeking t&t for a support-based Kayle. Everything from builds to neat in-game tricks will help me out so I'm not only welcoming but encouraging people to leave any info deemed useful. I'd specifically like to know a few things however: does Ardent Censor ( ) apply to Kayle's ultimate/is she able to justify getting a FOTM ( ) from any of her builds/what is the best way to play her in the lane-phase and during teamfights? I'll be watching some videos regarding her soon but I'm hoping for the opinions of the community.

Kayle was dumpstered a while back, didn't you hear? If you're going to play a champion like this that is barely viable then you should take her in a solo lane where you won't have the possibility of bringing the adc down with such a weak support pick.

I'd say start with coin or doran's ring. Support kayle isn't as bad as she used to be actually because of the passive gold gain increase. She still has trouble controlling the lane but her late game control is very handy. Id try to find some way to use flame's build since it seems like the best way to play kayle.

it's not a support build but kayle still needs things from that build.

The most important thing about Kayle is ulting obviously-- you don't want to keep people from dieing you want to keep your team from taking the most damage possible . The ideal situation is if everyone on enemy team engages on and blows all of their skills on an ally who takes all the damage through your ult. Also using your ult to control how the enemy engages your team helps control games drastically-- keep that in mind so you don't blow ult unnecessarily just to avoid damage that you could have just healed.

The second most important thing about support kayle is positioning obviously because she is a continuous damage dealer with no escape rather than an assassin. You can't be on front line you have to be behind adc or somewhere the enemy can't reach or see you. You should be looking to ult allies more often than positioning yourself to bait with your ult.

item 3504 should work on her W and R because it applies to heals and shields. Also, always start with a support gold item. Luckily for Kayle, it depends on your play style which one you should bet because they're all viable on her: item 3301 if you want to play more passively, item 3303 if you want to bully the enemy team with your Q and E, or item 3302 if you intend to stay in melee form while supporting and help with farm.

Honestly, I don't play Kayle support because I think it is unrewarding, but I have seen people play her as a tanky support quite effectively and building items such as item 3050 item 3190 item 3110 item 3068 And, of course, item 2049 or item 2045 .

Though overall, I wouldn't recommend Kayle support unless you're dead set on mastering it.

Ardent censor won't work with kayle's ulti, only with her W (heal). Yes, she can go relic shield start into face of the mountain. She can use all 3 of the starter support items depending on how you want to play. But generally you will want to build either tanky or AP+attack speed, because her utility isn't amazing (her ult alone is not reason to pick her).

In lane phase you want to harass with Q and/or E, the tricky part is not dying in the process due to her low range. You can also hang back and just heal, but you will run out of mana fast. Her lane phase as support is pretty weak. In teamfights you'll want to ult one of your carries if they get focused, or save it until an assassin comes in for your adc/apc. It's best to use her ult during the first wave of enemy burst, not on low-hp allies who are running away and about to die. Heal your initiator (if you have one) to give him a speed boost. Be disruptive with your Q/E and try to do damage.
