I feel not worthy of Top lane...Suggestions?

To be honest I hardly ever go Top.

I have Wukong, Olaf, Irelia, Riven, Aatrox, Shen, Gangplank, Garen, Gnar, Pantheon, and Trundle. NOT ALOT OF TOP LANERS! EDIT: And Warwick but I see him more like a jungler. I mean I also see Wukong as a Jungler but equally a Top too.

If I go top I am most likely to suck and possibly die which I have many times before. Sometimes I chicken out and just stay away from champ and barely farm at all. Or I just stay under my turret cause maybe I'm super duper scared. ( ONE of the reasons I need to work with cause this is a problem. )

Anyway I would like to be open to more roles I don't play a lot. What if I am forced to go Top in a normal or ranked game? I need to learn!

Try Nasus, farm safely under tower with your until your jungler comes to gank. Build tank and eat towers.

I can also help if want. If not, I'll give you some suggestions.

Wuking - try to stay away from your lanes and use your e, aa, q, w combo to poke. Then all in when low.

Olaf - try to be in the middle of them farm and e him when he gets close. Just try live through the lane and sustain till he low.

Irelia - FARM. you out scale almost all other top landers in the mid game. So just try to sustain in lane and poke in small amounts. If it is an all in, try to keep the fight extended over a long period of time.

Riven - I don't really have much advice for her, hope someone can help u out but I don't know how to play riven well :P sorry.

Astrox - similar to Irelia but you can be more aggressive. Use your w in a smart manner i.e. use Dmg if high life, healing if low. Engage on the enemy to poke them with third charge then either to proceed to kill or fall back.

Shen - try to not push the lane at all. Attempt to get as many minions in the wave as possible. Poke with your q and when u engage use all your abilities while he is your minion wave as to make minions aa him. Use your ult has much as possible.

Gangplank - poke as much as possible and farm. Try to survive lane and when he low, u can try to kill. Gp Is better than most for diving cause of his anti-cc.

Garen - don't think u need advice for Garen, just spin to win :P

Gnar - attempt to poke as much as possible while still remaining safe. When u bout to transform, analyze how much opponent life is and consider engaging. Try to farm as much as possible.

Pantheon - poke with q and engage frequency doing q, w, e, aa/q, aa/q.

Trundle - no advice cause I have never played trundle, sorry.

Final note: Remember to farm well and do the best you can. Never listen to any snide comments on how you are bad and believe that you can do well. With confidence you will learn to top. Hope I helped you and wish you good top leaning.

I have done that once it was fun but I want to use an actual top laner/melee er fighter/tank.

Since I'm still learning I rather not break the meta. Until I have knowledge then sure! XD

I think the best way to learn how to play a lane is if you make it fun!! Try to pick a fun champ to carry with, one with a low ban rate and high win rate if you must... I would recommend Riven, which does not have a high win rate in particular, but is one of the most high skill capped and fun champ to play with. The amount of plays you can make is unbeliveable. Your hardest counters can even sometimes get outplayed, the hardest champ to play against is Darius, renekton and garen but you can outplay garen and renekton IF you time your skills correctly. There are unlimited amounts of combos with riven. I would suggest you get him and get some lessons from someone. If you have any questions about riven add me! "seley"

You sound like me and mid lane and ADC. I'm horrible in those 2 positions. I can still go mid occasionally but with heimerdinger and the matchup has to be right (I counter them) or it will be a rough time. If you are that passive in lane I would say get Nasus and start Frozen Heart, and then farm Qs under turret, and then work to get to 40% CDR and a full tank build you'll be unkillable.

I would recommend trying Gangplank out; he's never banned, and lots of fun. He can be built many ways too: if you're going try-hard, you'll build him like a tanky bruiser (static shyv, triforce, + tank items); if you want to go full ham, get a buttload of crit-chance runes and go full crit-plank; it is hilarious.

Important: not many people know this, but GP wins EVERY level 1 fight. Use this to your advantage and try to fight at level one.

Important #2: if you last hit a minion with GP's Q, it refunds mana and gives you extra gold
