Gold Bot Laner LF Tips and Knowledge (long post)

So, I've been playing this game for a few years now, and I've learned a lot. What I want to accomplish in this post, however, is to confirm what I've learned and even expand on it. What I'm right about, what I'm wrong about, anything I'm not getting, the little things count. So, I'm going to write down anything I can think of in my 2 main roles (ADC and Support), and I'd appreciate it if some players who have broader knowledge on those roles read what I say and give me anything useful. I'll try not to make it too long and boring, but if you can read it all and give me some good stuff to read and learn, I thank you in advance and also anyone else who plays these roles, you're very welcome to read both my post and my teachers' replies. This will be more late game oriented (what I should be doing and where I should be going and such), but I will be speaking of certain mechanics as well, so Annie bear with me please.

So let's start with support. I have quite an aggressive, yet somewhat baiting playstyle. My main champs in this role are Thresh Morgana and Janna , but this is a role I've devoted most of my time to so I can play almost all the support champs (I don't own Bard or Tahm) to at least a basic degree. I'm more mechanics oriented, considering my early laning/mid game tends to be my strong point. In this time, I usually get my carry a few kills, or we share depending on the situation.

However, I hear of some advanced bot lane mechanics but I don't know much about them and, in turn, can't practice them. For example, cutting the lane in half. Of course, everyone knows there's an enemy side of the lane, but there are still 2 people on each side, and its not a good idea to line up with each other in really any game, so it makes sense to me. But my knowledge is limited on this subject. It works like this. Say on the blue team we have Sivir Annie , and on red Lucian Thresh . Since Sivir can spellshield Thresh's cc, and Lucian is generally lower range, Annie would split the lane in half tower to tower, and stay on Lucian's side, knowing she can harass him better and in some cases probably out trade him. So, as Lucian switched sides with Thresh, so Annie would with Sivir. Now, if I got anything wrong about that by all means call me out on it. Is this an important mechanic to learn? Like, something all experienced high elo laners do?

Now, that being said, I have some late game stuff I would like to go over. For example, lane warding vs jungle warding. Does one take priority over the other at some point? I usually prefer warding raptors when pushing mid, for example, and the bush outside blue and wolves, contrary to the bushes on either side of lane. I do this because I assume the other team will likely be waiting for us at tower, which they usually do, and if they don't I see them passing raptors or wolves for a flank. Is this a wrong assumption to make? Also, with the dragon changes and all, does 5th dragon take priority over baron? This is something I've seen in a few games lately, where we see them take dragon and so we quickly rush baron since were nearby, but even then they can sometimes overpower us. Granted, my performance and the performance of my team in those fights could also be a factor, but this is still a topic I would like more on.

I'll make a final point here. Now, this is gray area for me because everyone I ever played with told me it was wrong to do, but I wasn't ever sure if it was out of spite or if I just shouldn't do it. Roaming mid game, or even earlier (if I bought mobis and we're pushing easy). I roam to mid lane when I get the chance so I can try to set up a play, but usually it ends up me either 1. being found by jungler, 2. mid laner backing, or 3. my carry dying while I'm gone. The latter usually causes flaming and insults being thrown back and forth between teammates, and even me a few times (but those were getting out of hand...). Some feedback on how to properly execute this would be great, or even if it's a good idea to do it.

Now for ADC. Like support, I have a baiting sort of playstyle, but in this case I'm not as aggressive really, considering I'm more focused on farming. However I am more prone to play making. My main champs in this role are Lucian and Jinx , but I've been thinking about picking up Graves and Sivir for the new patches. My early game consists basically of me either trumping or being trumped. This is because I take more risks as a carry to get ahead. If i can dash in to get that last auto+Q and flash out with a kill, I usually won't hesitate to take the chance, or perhaps flashing in to get a reset on a tower even. However, as an ADC my mid game is probably my weakest point, team fighting being my strongest. My positioning is what I'm most proud of, because I can manage to deal a lot of damage in fights and stay alive usually, or even kite up to 3 tanks for quite some time if i have summoners. However, I make horrible decisions, and I don't have anyone to correct me on them either. If anyone can let me know ANYTHING about playing these champs mid game, that would help me improve probably more than any other tips I find. In all seriousness, pardon my french, my mid game is absolute dog shit. This is where I die most, lose TONNES of farm for various reasons, and overall just get lost if I'm not snowballing from laning phase. Basically if I don't leave laning 4/0 with IE and zeal there's a pretty big chance I'll lose. Usually I try to split push if I don't have a lead, this is just my automatic reaction to not steamrolling my laning opponents.

One more point before I leave this to the public. How do I decide between buying item 3087 , or saving up for item 3046 , or even just getting item 3142 ? Any info would be great.

I'm counting on you guys. Help me learn.
