Same old discussion, any new resolutions?

I really am clueless. The amount of ranked games I have played, where a lane has gone 0/3-5 in the first 10 minutes is increasingly high, and today was by far no exception to that. Although if you check my history, you may think; well you had deaths as well, your score wasn't always positive ect ect. Yes that is the case, but if you are playing against a 8/0 udyr and a 12/4 jayce along with a yasuo who is laning against your annie who is 0/6 how can you yourself possibly stay positive? I would estimate that, about 75% of my games I do well in my laning phase. Now when I say this I mean that I either grab a few kills on my lane opponent or I beat them in cs and stay ahead of them in gold and experience. Sometimes if my opponent is making some very poor choices I end up snowballing. However the majority of the games I am playing in I am finding that the same exact thing is happening. I usually go even with my laner and neither of us give away any kills but, somewhere else in the game the enemy team gains a huge lead. Now as a full disclaimer here, I am never a toxic player, and I always encourage others on my team never give up.

But seriously, almost every second game a lane ends up going 0/5 around 10 minutes, a player may afk, the team may be super toxic and we give away leads because of that reason. An example of this, I was playing wukong top, at around 25 minutes I was 5/1 our bot lane was around 1/5 and our mid lane was 0/3. Our jungler tahm, didn't gank our lanes that needed any help so I had to leave my lane and roam, losing pressure on the top side of the map and allowing my lane opponent to have free farm and lane control. Toward the mid game, our adc and mid laner became extremely toxic which worsened our situation. When I suggested that my team ward the river I received a bunch of flame in return, and our jungle decided it was better to just give up because the game was "unwinnable". This is one of the unlucky experiences I have had, however a more common hindrance I see almost every game is that so many people just do not know simple mechanics and smart decisions to make within the game. Today I was at 51 lp, I am now at 0lp. It seems that the odds are stacked so high against me, it doesn't matter if I go on a win streak right now, my mmr will still be low to average from all the games I have lost before the win streak.

If I am in a losing situation, I realize that I cannot change how my teammates play and so I only focus on myself an how I can improve. I always ask myself, am I warding enough, am I keeping up with my opponents cs and csing well, are my deaths as low as they should be, what objectives can I look to take or focus on, how should I approach fights ect. I find this useful as it keeps me in line, but what about the four others with me? I know every game I can't control them, yet their performances have impacts on the result of the game, and this result has an impact on my success in climbing the ranks.

This is the one last thing I would like to talk about. Most of you will understand this concept and it is something that I go through on a regular basis. You win a game, it may be worked hard for or easily won, but regardless it takes large amounts of effort and concentration. You get 17 lp for the win, and you play another ranked. You end up losing the next one, and you lose 23 lp. In this situation, not only did you lose everything you worked hard to earn last game, but you lost more lp as well. I can remember times where I grinded for about an hour to win a game which took so much effort to coordinate my team, get the perfect team fight, and push objectives at the right moment, and then straight after you lose a game in 25 minutes because three of your lanes go 0/3. You work so hard for so little this way. And what little you had dissipates fast if you lose a couple of matches.

Thanks for taking the time to read this one guys. Comment what you think, or any suggestions regarding this post. I would be glad to hear some of you opinions.

Unfortunately that is just how the game works, we all have to play with afks from time to time the only thing you can do is report them and hope that you don't have one in your next game. Talking about losing more lp than you win well I think if you focus too much on how much lp you gain/lose it takes away from the true meaning of the game which is to have fun and I suggest if you aren't having fun then you quit playing, however i can relate to your ranking up dilemma since everybody does want to climb the ladder and reach a better league however rather than focusing on your wins and losses and how much lp you have just remember that your just playing a game and that you do not need to take it so seriously, if you do this then you won't get so stressed over the afks and your losses but how well you played yourself and I am sure eventually just like every other player that has grinded to reach a better rank that you eventually will to.
