Still torn between Locket and Banner on AP supports. So would it be reasonable to say Locket for enemy AoE team and Banner for dealing with enemy wave clear?

I often get item 3069 on Skarner, Kayle, and sometimes Diana, in the jungle. It's not uncommon for me to bring Clairvoyance, either. It should be fairly obvious why it's such a good item, which is primarily its active. Its extra regen, movement speed, and very slight gold income upgrade are well worth its low cost.

I don't think the meta is sound. I think it's obvious it doesn't work, else the ones not following the meta would lose every time. This is often not the case, I think because people who follow the meta to the letter (as in, in no way do anything unexpected) are copycats and, well, LCS-wannabes. They think this makes them skilled. It doesn't. It means they're only trying to appear skilled, and I guarantee these aren't the types of people who will be getting anywhere near their goal of winning every game by not only following but enforcing the meta for any and all champs.

It's nonsense. It really is. You do something unconventional, you'll probably win, provided you know how to do it. But if you follow everyone else and don't even understand why good players do what they do, you're not going anywhere.

This still doesn't explain why I placed in B3 from S3 last season, that's a bit of a let-down, but I just finished prelims yesterday. I still say it holds true. I used to have literally all greens on my match history, no losses as far as the list went, in Normals, by going a little out of convention and finding things that worked, even if they weren't considered "meta".

Get creative, it pays off, is all I'm really trying to say. So, yeah, upvote.

I also just realized something. Can you imagine how good item 3056 would be on skarner? Guy could come in from behind the enemy tower, disable it, and drag the enemy away from it. Like that's cray cray.

So for support champions you are saying that banner is better for AP supports while Locket is better for tankier supports like Blitz and Thresh? Also I play Galio as a support since his kit is really strong with just building MR and some slight armor, which would I take for him?
