Title. My friend is in Bronze 1, (used to be in Silver 3 last season although he duo queued with his other friend in the new season which lowered his rank) should I duo queue with him for my provisionals or just do solo queue?
In addition, how are the provisionals? Are there as much AFK trolls as I hear or are people just messing with me.

I ended Season 4, Gold 4 I won 6/10 (solo) of my games and I was placed Silver 3. I am Gold 3 now and I got there easily because its where I deserve to be.
I did my provisionals and had people playing champs that they never played before :D or an afker. Or a troll. Every game.
I only won 3 of my games and got Bronze I. I dunno how those things work.
Edit: also, I duo queued, but my friend is Silver V. Not much of a difference from me, I guess.
Doesn't matter, you'll get placed the lower you were last season. Silver V season 4, placed in Bronze 2. I got lucky and got out of Bronze playing 105 games. LOL If his MMR is really low, if you duo with him, you're going to tank his MMR. Meaning, even if you deserve higher, you'll get placed in his MMR just because you duo-ed with him.
