Janna shield+Varus Q question

Can i shield him while he charges for him to get the ad bonus or do i have to cast it before he press Q? Thanks in advance.

Casting the shield while he's charging will work (Varus' AD is checked at the end, not the start).

Upon firing (first option), probably. I think it'd be cleaner on the code end of things.

you should just try it in a custom game with a friend.......you can see the dmg values in-game. Theres no need to make a thread for a simple question that you can test yourself.

So to my knowledge damage is calculated when it hits a target. So you could even shield him when the Arrow is mid-flight. It's the same with cait ultimate. Or Jinx :D.

Every damage is calculated as it hits.

I always wait until my ally's AA or skillshot is actually flying towards an enemy champion to 1) avoid telegraphing it and 2) avoid wasting mana if the ADC finally wants to farm instead
