i dont get it as a jungler you will have to rush this item and get it fast than make sure your constantly farming
and around 25-30 min you will have 30 stacks right
now if you go and build this on an adc you will have devourer and you will most likely still be in lane for a litle while so by the time you finaly get the 30 stacks
shouldnt the game pretty much already been over a long time ago ?
A Miss Fortune2 votesI've gotten 30 stacks at 15 - 18 minutes. It's not that hard. Just AFK farm until there's an obvious opportunity to gank, get the gold, back, get Devourer, and prioritize Scuttle, Dragon, and enemy champions.
Devourer on ADCs is also broken. Vayne's W applies in 2 auto attacks, Twitch's passive can be applied to an entire team instantly basically. Yeah...

I can get the Devourer in 1 - 2 minutes technically, I don't have to JUST kill Camps. I can get the Gold from Kills/Assists. On top of that, you can get Sated due to that and simply taking objectives. Yeah, it is that easy and I've done it 2/4 times I've played Jungle with Devourer.

A Miss Fortune1 votesIf I get a lot of kills during 2 minutes, then yeah, I can get Devourer. I don't see why you're being so illogical about this. If you farm appropriately, if you get kills, if you get objectives, then you'll get Sated very fast. Don't say I'm trolling because you can't auto attack Scuttle and Smite it.

I've gotten it in 6-9, it's easy if you afk farm with yi and gank when you're right by enemies who are pushed. Just because you can't get it doesn't mean everyone can't.

My match history: Naturally everything doesn't always go this well, but be sure to look at my games where the enemy team surrendered by 20. (I do have two games where I did not get sated by the time that my team surrendered, but that's two out of about fourteen.)

Sated doesn't take too long to stack if you're good at planning jungle routes, ganking, counter jungling and contesting objectives, as I said in my other post, it should be expected to be stacked by 18.

I average getting that item before seven minutes If i gank bot, i can get drag or i can just solo it, farm scuttles, clear jungle and counter jungle when i get vision of the enemy jungler, i often have sated by 15 minutes, in fact if i dont have it by 20, i would have been better off going a tank because otherwise im behind. Sated by 18 minutes should be expected of decent junglers.

If you rush it, you will lose to the other carry that rushed Infinity Edge (they've got BF sword + Cloak of agility around the time you get devourer). Unless you're constantly taking your jungler's farm or counterjungling, you're only getting stacks from kills, assists, and dragons. Even if you get ten stacks from KDA, you need four dragons which is 24 minutes + the time to actually buy devourer. So it's 35 minutes into the game by the time you're stacked up and both ADCs are approaching full build. You've got a slot set to ~90 magic damage on-hit, they've got an extra 35% crit chance, which works out to about 105 physical damage on hit assuming 200ish AD and Infinity Edge.
Unless you have crazy-good on-hit effects in your kit (i.e. you are Vayne) you actually give up a fair bit of damage getting Devourer over a Phantom Dancer. You also delay your power spikes because you need to rush the Devourer for stacks. That means buying Attack Speed before having any Attack Damage or Critical Hit chance, which is a sub-optimal use of your gold. You also give up a summoner spell for it, so you're easier to kill in the laning phase and less likely to get kills.
It might work on some hypercarries because of on-hit effects or synergy with BotRK, but you're locked into one build path. You need to rush Devourer for the stacks, and you need to get a BotRK ASAP because BotRK is the only way a Devourer ADC and keep up with an IE + PD ADC. Your opponents should be abusing your weaker early game (due to bad early items and slow scaling) to prevent you from getting kills and dragons. If you can't stack, your build is useless.

rampaging poet1 votesYeah, it still takes ages but has a huge payoff in the end. Assuming (1) the enemy hasn't just ended while you farmed and (2) your aren't so far behind they can burst you before you can deal you "Tons of Damage!" So probably not worth it.
