Play champions that can easily faceroll or cheese any game, get good at it, bam you're platinum. If you try to play late game champions in low elo (specifically gold 1-3) you will lose because the teams are so bad at team fighting and players often just snowball other player because they do the same thing and have no idea why they die. And know what your champion is suppose to do, being afk farming with someone like pantheon all game is just terrible because the champ scales terribly and has a pretty bad team fight and has so many early game quality's like damage, a stun, pen, mms, what else could you ask for? there will always be opportunity to gank esp in low elo where everyone loses lane, while afk farming with someone like yi is the correct thing to do because it is a scaling champion that doesn't do very much early game and without its ult.
