Countering Brand?

I'm fairly new to League of Legends and went head-to-head with Bot Brand, mid lane (Teemo), last night on a Coop vs AI. How can I counter brand with my Yordles? Amumu Heimerdinger Teemo Lulu

Lulu is for future... since I solo Q... not sure if players at upper level accepts support from a solo Q player.... so not sure if it is worth using IP on Lulu. On lower level, I find it difficult to play support at times. Players just go about on what they want to do while a handful of players do know when to attack and back off.

The only thing I could do last night was stall and hold mid lane by using mushrooms, until I get enough gold to buy equipment for attack speed, while other push top and bottom lanes.

Hehe, your yordles XD I would say it's pretty different countering Brand in pvp and bot games, but really just try to avoid his abilities. He can stun you if he chains together a couple of his abilities, so if you dodge one his damage output is reduced significantly. Magic resist items like item 3001 item 3174 item 3102 item 3111 are also very good against him.

Also, right now Lulu is a very strong mid laner. I usually take her support, but if you build items like item 3089 item 3157 item 3165 item 3135 she has a huge damage output potential and her shields and her ultimate provide HUGE HP. I would try her mid lane!

With Lulu (the only one there you should support with), I'd recommend using Glitterlance when he approaches to use a spell so your adc (and you) can kite him

Players in higher elo accept all support lol, except for taric because hes underrated but anyone in high elo would play him anyways lol.

Back on topic,

Amumu you can't really play against a brand especially if were speaking meta-wise. Amumu isn't a mid player but when jungling as Amumu against Brand, like all ganks, Amumu can really knock the ball park out of brand unless if you and your ally mid laner don't pay attention to brand's pyroclasm and stun. Make sure your mid laner knows that you're ganking and follows up with their own disables to prevent brand from using his abilities and at all costs, you must also get into the habit of dodging linear skill shots however brand players will get rylais scepter which'll make it tougher to dodge.

Heimerdinger just plays with turrets and so on. Make brand use his Pillar of flames or spells on your turrets, by wasting his mana on your turrets, he'll be vulnerable since Pillar of flames is very expensive! And considering his mana pool at all levels. He'll have to resort to auto-attacks and dodging a missile width skill shot in order to survive your other attacks (i.e UPGRADE!! Turret or UPGRADE!! Missiles) or suffer lots of consequences. Make sure you land your grenade directly on top of him!

Teemo doesn't do awesome against brand because Teemo is more better off versing AD champions. If you attempt to auto-attack brand, you'll attract minion aggro which trust me, its a pain to deal with minion aggro. The only effective way I can think of beating Brand is to really be skilled at teemo and dodging skill shots and having a good instinct/reflex.

If you're talking about Lulu mid, you can somewhat easily deal with brand since you can disable EVERYTHING on brand due to polymorph and if you max it out 2nd, you'll increase its duration of polymorph. The only set back with Lulu is that shes mana hungry if you decide to be aggressive however this can be fixed by buying an early chalice and upgrading it. However the good part is Its an AP item with magic resistance so that'll help you out against Brand. The key is to always harass but polymorph when you have no cover from minions and specifically knock him up with your ultimate if you do get in close range combat. It'll give you seconds to recover.
