I know of countering assassins with items, but what about comps?

are there any specific comps that are good against 6 assassins? I know of PD and thornmail as examples of items, but I'm looking more at comps themselves.

I've had my yordles and knights popped like zits due to the crits. I've found Gnar or Swain to be fairly effective, especially Gnar, if either can somehow transform (but he usually needs an item like a thornmail to get there). don't know if I'd put full faith into shapeshifters though.

anyone have any luck with any thing else? glacials or elementalists fair any better? maybe 6 nobles + guardians?

Lissandra is considered a counter Zed, Pyke, and Rengar in particular.

You can mess up assassins with positioning. Move one tanky champion to the opposite corner of the rest of your team. The assassins will jump to that one, while the rest of your team can engage.

Keep in mind not all assassin comps are 6 Assassins. That build breeds in crit/low HP weakness.

I'm finding that if assassins want to win, they do 3-4 assassins and 2-3 tanks with large mitigating effects.

Noble is the closest you can get to beating with tankiness. But if they do a Split comp like I mentioned, you'll lose that too.

You could go Phantom with Kindred and kill a few assassins before they kill you (assuming kindred can pop her ult early).

Otherwise, you need mages who can start the fight with their skills ready (Brand/Morg) and place them so that the assassins don't prioritize them.

bunch of sorceres will work, with your strong ones in the back, sorcerers dont move so theyll jump to the front row and will lose as long as the backrow is strong enough. at least thats how my assassin teams usualy get wrecked
