TFT Skins!!
I am all about looking good. Any chance we can get our league skins to transfer over into TFT? Would love some nurse Akali on the board and definitely not Blitzcrank

They have currently set ot so you can't use skins on purpose. It gives them a method to introduce different origins/classes for the same champion.
E.g. Cutpurse TF is currently set as a Pirate/Sorcerer using Pick a Card . If they used Musketeer TF instead, then you probably would get a Noble/Ranger using his E and will be manaless.
Maybe with nurse Akali, they would have a new origin/class for her, like blade master/healer and DN blitz could be a brawler/trickster.
Btw, you do know that they are planning to release 1 new champ per patch until 60 units or so, then they would remove to current "sets" of champions to introduce a new set of champ after the end of the ranked split. They did say they wanted to introduce characters from the project universe and odyessy universe, which includes Oddessy, dark star, and cosmic skin lines.
No. Like Kei143 said, skins are used for alternate class origins on champions.
If you look at champions like Graves, TF or Vayne you can see they aren't the classic skins Cutthroat Graves is a Pirate/Gunslinger Cutpurse TF is a Pirate/Sorcerer Arclight Vayne is a Noble/Ranger
