God. I just don't even know anymore

Okay, so I understand that if you don't get items early, you're supposed to ride a lose streak, get first pick on a few carousels, and come back late game. Sounds good to me. But guess what? That's not fucking possible if the fucking rng of the matchmaking puts you against the person who is in first and has 6 completed items when you have 2. When there were seven people still in the game, I was matched with the person in first (who had the most items) three fucking times in a row. I didn't even make it to raptors because of that. I'm just so frustrated. I was actually having fun with TFT before this patch. Riot seems to have actually nerfed early item drop rates, and I just don't understand why. Maybe it would be okay if there was actually some rhyme or reason to who you're matched against, but YOU CANNOT COME BACK LATE GAME IF YOU ARE CONSISTENTLY MATCHED WITH THE PERSON WHO GOT THE MOST ITEMS IN THE GAME.
