Game is way too punishing to players in the lead

TFT has room for improvement, but I feel like the biggest thing that needs to be addressed is how punishing the game is for players who are in the lead. Being the last pick in the draft, given the current disparity of champs in the draft circle, is insanely bad. I have found that it is a super good strategy to occasionally throw a match or two in order to get a better pick in the draft. The game should NEVER encourage something like this.

Meanwhile, being in the lead, doesn't really give you any rewards. Yes, you could get a win streak, but a single loss tosses that out the window. Meaning, you could have like 80% WLR and be in the lead. Yet, there is no worthy (if any at all) reward to offset the loss of being last in the draft.

I'm not sure the best way to address this, but it needs to be addressed desperately.

Losing to get better pick order is strategy.

Same as keeping a losing streak to earn the gold.

The comeback mechanics are indeed strong, but that's not bad IMO. And no, a single loss doesn't break your win streak bonus. You have to lose several rounds to lose it.

Yesterday I, for the first time, won a game without losing a single health point. Feels good.

However something I noticed is premades cooperating to block me from getting anything I might want. They would essentially wait for me to move in a direction and take what they though I wanted. I know they were premade because they mentioned getting on discord at the beginning of the game.

I don't agree with winning beeing punishing, if you can get a winning streak the gold advantage is quite big, and usually it means you already gave either a solid setup or good items else you wouldn't be winning, and you can always salavage something usefull even as lastpick in a draft. Ontop of that you stay at high health so you're not out imidiatly when some assasins have critluck.

Snowballing is by far high enough imo.

However, i agree that single losses are very punishing for winning streaks(though single wins on a loosing streak are worse) especially with how RNG, mostly on assasins or glacial, can create wins that never should happen, and i wouldn't mind some changes to that system overall.

talk to me after your in last place and you face the 1st place guy 4 times in a row, losing 60 hp over the course of 4 or 5 rounds to 1 or 2 guys simply because they got better RNG than you and so they win even though they have trash economy and zero synergy but it doesnt matter because they have 6 T3's with an average of 2 completed items per champ. Meanwhile your in last place struggling to get T2's from the scrap leftovers they are hoarding on the bench.

Never felt punished at all when winning... just keep calm and continue to watch your early start rack up gold and interest and not be worried about your hp.... You can focus on leveling and completing your comp and last pick for items if you dont get the champ you want. It's actually easier to rack up wins safely than finding a way to lose without losing too much hp and not randomly win against someone who decided to do the same. Every win gives you an additional gold no matter what so win streaks along with interest can rack up a ton of gold fast.
