ranking system is pretty screwy

So based on the point win/loss at each rank, if you had the same 8 people fight each other non-stop in ranked for hundreds of games, it would eventually settle them in bronze or lower. That seems like a really poor design choice to think such a low rank should be the 'norm'. Isn't Iron for people who are terrible at the game (the fabled 'wood league' basically), bronze is for those who are new or struggling, and silver should be the general tier for most regular players? But as it stands now, silver is a huge net loss between the 8 players so if it was the same 8 people, everyone will lose ranks eventually. if you win 5 games in first place, and lost 5 games in 8th place-you would lose a full rank worth of LP. (at silver 2, that's around 95-100 LP for wins, and -200+ LP for the losses). In Summoners rift ranked games, the +- is still fairly even, even in high silver (a win is around the same as a loss, with a few point difference based on MMR) so why in TFT is it twice as many LP lost for a loss than for a win? (even for non first/8th place, it's still roughly double. Like +3 for 4th, -6 for 5th, etc)

No. It wouldn't, because the better players would often out of those 8.

You really need to look at the top challenger ratings. One guy literally holds 2 of the top 10 spots. If this was random RNG, that would be impossible.

He's just a better player.
