Stop Auto Crafting

What is the purpose of having items auto craft by combining them on a champion? Why can't we manually craft them both in the inventory and on champions? You know how ridiculous it is giving a basic item to a hero, only to not be able to complete it to the item you want because it NEVER shows up from mobs or the carousel? Now I have to make an item I don't even want if I want to continue giving items to my champion. What an obnoxious feature.

At this point I'm forced to horde items until I can combine them right away otherwise I will be blocked out from giving them other items in the future or getting one I don't want. What is the purpose of this feature? Let me give an example of what I'm talking about in case I sound confusing...

Lets say I give tear of the goddess to warwick. I'm waiting for chain vest which never shows up, but I end up getting two giant belts. I am now unable to give a Warmog's armor to him until I give him another item which will make an item I never wanted on him, just to get a Warmog's armor. That's ridiculous. Even worse when you have items combine accidentally when you get a champion from the carousel. Sorry but there are plenty of items that are trash and wasting two items for a weak item, can make a difference.

Buy a junk unit, craft the warmogs on it, sell the unit, put the warmogs on ww.

They made it so that we can't combine off champs and auto combine on champions in order to add a strategic element. You have more that you have to consider when making your decisions. But as the other person said, one of your choices is to make it on something else and sell that to get the item you want.

That said, having items you want isn't really how TFT works. It's not a matter of trying to get certain items, it's a matter of working with the items you do get. So if you do get 2 belts make Warmogs and be happy, but don't sit there waiting to get 2 belts in order to make Warmogs. You may very well die before you do, when you could have lived you'd you had made the items available to you.
