Devs misunderstanding what this game is

This game isn't about reaction and prediction. You aren't looking at your enemy and trying to figure out what to build...because you CANT. It's random. You are dealt a hand and you have to work with it.

As such, the devs are completely missing the mark when they are developing this game.

The game should be focused around placement of your pieces. It's not called auto chess for no reason.

Starks and other items are doing a good job of encouraging interesting piece placement. Same with EXILE. These are the things that the devs should be focusing on with items and especially some of the class bonuses.

In this sense, players are called on to strategically place their units - and are not focused on finding the LUCKY piece, or losing because 3 other players were getting the same early draw forcing them to pivot mid game.

Please devs. Stop copying the other games, use your brains and creativity, and make something decent. As it is now, you are showing that you have no real talent in game design and are creating a really crappy piece of software.

When it first came out, people kept saying it was about counter-moves and strategy.

It's simply a card game, where you can just put your "cards" onto a board. But its mechanics are and will be the same: getting the most op combo before your enemies.

In my experience with autochess you arent even playing the game, you're just playing out an already decided victory. From a game with no items to a game with 3; 3 stars I have never once had to even THINK about what I was gonna play. The most brain exercise you do in this brainless gamemode is making sure to place and build the right items on the right champions. Otherwise... wtf are you guys actually talking about? You arent making any big brain plays youre just putting down what you're given, im not even sorry to ask, whats the strategy in that???[sg-lulu]

Its 7x6. Its significantly smaller than the 8x8 the other games run. There's barely enough room to bait out assassins. If you want skill expression with the board, it should probably actually have enough space to allow for diverse placement.

u realize there is a limited champ pool and u may have to not draft something because everyone else is going for it and u'll never get it to lvl 2 "You aren't looking at your enemy and trying to figure out what to build...because you CANT. It's random" no it isn't random to an extent, there are limited champ pools and different tier probabilities for each level fast scanning the other 7 players and knowing what you should go for early game for the highest chance of a lvl 2 is very necessary. just watch keane play, before you make more comments.

I really enjoy this version over others. perhaps you should play the other versions you mentioned and leave this one to those of us who enjoy it for what it is.

Not against the idea, but imo frontlines need to be a bit more durable(lategame) without warmongs+dragonclaw and the field needs to get bigger, else going for such positioning based effects will not work cause you don't have the room to properly use it AND acount for genral positioning like covering your backline with your frontline and evt haveing a decoy unit vs blitz and assasins...

While i like the idea of sarks, right now it feels like a horrible item to me cause the effect isn't nearly impactfull enough to make up for the formation requirements, the only exeption are assasins and on those the BF sword usually can be used for more valuable options aswell...

Though the main issue of all reactive plays one can make, both for setup and formation, is that you don't know your opponent and can face one of seven. Unless my setup is heavily outclassed, i usually win if i end up in a duel for 1st place simply by make INFORMED adjustmends to my formation and sometimes even setup because i know what i'm up against. But for most of the game, you don't have the informations needed to make any smart decisions. There still isn't even a quick overfiew for all player-setups on tap, which would make it alot less stressfull to scout what comps are played...

Did you even play AutoChess? Like, at all? That game was more influenced by whatever OP cards you got than TFT is. Of course, position, synergies and intelligent money handling also played an important role (items less so), but getting just the right unit could be decisive. The fact of the matter is that you don't have units as op as TideHunter, NagaSiren, Techies, Kunka, Enigma etc.

  1. How about to see who is your next opponent ? But the fog of war is necessary to avoid this quick changing places in last seconds.
  2. Increase the size of battle field with 1 column.
