What would you guys think about having a place on the map to drop two items and auto combine them? There's obvious problems that can arise from having to buy/sell a unit in order to make an item.
I highlighted a few areas that could work but below the board is probably the worst place considering it would be easier to misclick and put it on a unit by accident.
Why not just add a tool tip when you drag one item over another to show what it's going to combine into? I think that's all you need, I don't really see the point in combining items permanently without a champion being involved.
the rarity of necessity doesn't merit the work required on the programmers. Just buy the cheapest unit in your list, merge on them, sell them. Only time you need to merge like that is if your unit you want the new item put on has 1 item already, but odds of being in that state, with your bench full of units you can't afford to sell a single one, is going to be pretty rare
