Anyone else hate this meta?
Just a bunch of people donkey rolling every game trying to get gold star units, feel like its so easy to do and just not fun for the person doing it or the person facing it, what do you guys think?

I like some aspects of this set but for the most part no, I feel boxed in with compositions... It is nice getting a few 2p/3p bonuses weaved in but they don't seem all that impactful.... They need some stronger 5 cost units and to fix ashes spell, I don't think it can crit atm. I do think the hyper rolling strategy is too strong, back in t1 you could save gold early, get to 50 and make your way to lvl 9 all the while still picking up useful things for an end game comp... Now it seems like its to heavily reliant on getting your core comp early and getting that tank or malz to lvl 3 early. I rarely see anyone go to lvl 9 anymore and the the times I have it usually seems like a waste of time, money would have been better spent on trying to get another 3 star unit...
Ya it's kind of stale but thats what happens when they force an idea, the 'rise of the elements' so they forced as many elements in there as possible even if they weren't a good idea... Another thing that irks me is qiyana and lux, some of the comps heavily rely on you getting them to get the 6p/9p bonuses, last night was watching my wife play and told her to do this, save nami for lvl 2 and cross her fingers an ocean lux drops... well IT DID and it's gotta be the only time ive seen one drop, she won the game after that btw... easily, 6p ocean was just too strong with her cc and malz pet spam... I think they would have been better if they had either cut 1 element out or overlapped some units more, like nasus being light + desert... or skarner too, but they strictly had a stance that only one element per unit so it feels HELLA disjointed...
nope never had more fun with tft
Hyper-rolling makes this game more fun. This tactic is not for climbing high divisions. The risk is too high to fall behind. Is no META here, set 1 was the same. They didn't change anything about the chance of getting gold units.
Exactly what i said, I reached platinum and I barely see 2 gold units, this means they stop hyper-rolling because the risk is too high to fall behind. In this division you lose much more LP (when you lose) than gold division. It's about Elo ranking system, but I don't mind that players who don't understand this continue to down-vote my post :)
