Really, they are just forcing their subconscious need for chaos/uncertainty (and the desire to find ways to cope with it) onto us, unwilling participants (well, some players also have this desire, but not all). A great game takes into account all the types of personalities out there, not just catering to one specific type that mirrors what the developers like.
Just played a game where a guy had a f'ing level 2 shyv at the FIRST BATTLE, with a warmogs and some other item. it could probably solo my whole team of 4 alone. I realize one battle isn't everything, and he may not have even won the game in the end, but you sure snowball to hell when you get a start like that..with minimal effort or skill. Why are we playing a casino game?
Grundle471 votesI get what you're saying, but I don't think it's anywhere near as RNG as you make it out to be. If it was the same player wouldn't get first place numerous games in a row. That just wouldn't happen if the game was all up to RNG. Statistically speaking each players placement should be wildly varied match to match if RNG was determining winners and losers. That's not to say that someone can't have good luck or bad luck but I've found luck only gets you through the early game. If you don't know what you're doing then all the rng in the world won't get you above a 6th place finish.
