Hextech bomb needs to be gutted or re-worked.
So you get punished for grouping together, it's rng, and it disables your items for EIGHT FUCKING SECONDS. not 2, not 5, EIGHT, targeting multiple people.

Hextech is there for the people who don't get items (i.e me). It is there to prevent snowballing from items and truly impacts idiots who 3 stack a unit.
I think its wonderful to get some sort of advantage as someone who on average gets the least amount of items in the game
i think that the one tier hextech is far too strong in its current state. Sure, you can disable a stacked carry, but you should not be forced to position poorly because you cannot put 4 carries behind a front line efficiently and then have them all disabled by first tier hextech, IMO hextech should only affect at most 2 units beside each other and should always target the most stacked unit.
I know right? the Dumbest part is it takes JUST 2 units.
It's also dumb how the full hextec 4 unit package is pointless since if people position properly 2 and 4 hextech do exactly the same thing

And you just need 2 (TWO!) units to get the buff that affects 7 (SEVEN!) fields...
I think the hextech buff should target a random tile instead of automatically locking onto anyone with an item so that theres a good chance the hextech bomb wont land on the people you have items on.
well kind of agree they should be just a hex, but anyway Cho will force me to do an anti hex formation with his busted huge aoe stun so its not like hex hitbox is the problem right now.

Nearsighted decision making by who ever is in charge of balance.
Problem was op ADCs....so they added hextech with item disabling...saw it sorta worked and called it a day... Now one gets wrecked by ADCs in combination with hextech
Balance will be going from one extreme to the other.
They honestly need to fire these people...I still can't believe someone over there decided 1 or 2 coins is the equivalent of your opponents getting an item.
TBH they should make it a 3 champ ability and remove the 2/4 champion synergy tiers.
The targeting can stay the same, but the disable duration should be reduced to 3-4 seconds. 8 Seconds is way too long considering units WITH items can get deleted in 2 seconds at the start of a match.
By increasing the amount of units required, it could hurt other synergies you need/want instead of getting 2 hextechs to fit wherever you throw them.

Most of the time if the bomb happens to land on your carry, the first 3-4 seconds are spent with units just walking up to each other. Only 4-5 seconds worth of the bomb actually has a real effect. Plus, most of the time your units wouldn't be able to use their spell in that timeframe anyway, which even further minimizes the effect.
hextech is overrated imo , only reason its used a lot is because the units are pretty good and already a core in strong comps.
like jinx seems to be draven v2 while jayce and vi are pretty decent units and core in 2 strong comps
