People Are Starting To Quit In The Early Game When They Get Bad Items

Title basically says it all. I've been playing quite a bit and I knew this would be a problem sooner or later, but people have no incentives to stay in the game if they get bad items or no items in the early game. In the future, this may lead to a situation where three or four players quit early on, leading to a much less interesting game.

I'm also not sure how Riot wants to address this issue. There are many ways to solve it, such as penalizing quitters or incentivizing players to stay in the game via rewards the further you get.

Because while you CAN come back, luck is too much apart of that comeback.

If I make it through the initial minion waves, and then the stone golems without getting a item, I might as well quit too.

Doesn't matter if I'm getting even rank 3 champions, items are better. I got extremely lucky and got a tier 3 Kassadin very early in the game once, but then got NO ITEMS besides Carousel. I just kept falling and falling unable to win.

Even a rank 1 vayne with items is a damn terror in most cases.... without items? Not so much.

thats on them. ive come back from dead last with 40hp to 3rd-2nd place before. in this game you can win off pure synergy alone. the real suckyness is when you get zero items in the pve rounds but your opponents get like 3-4. those rounds should always gurantee atleast one item so it doesnt feel ad bad.

Yea I've had some comebacks with under ten health. The idea of perhaps one item at the least sounds reasonable to me. That or give us bonus gold during creep rounds and keep it as it is but we can buy items. Eight gold per item or something.

ive had them too but those are so few and far between now with everyone more or less understandign the meta now.

My last game, a dude was at 8th place with 1 hp. He survived all the way till the last fight between him and the first place and he killed everyone else in between.
