4,000 games in silver... I've had enough.

I just can't take the constant losses anymore. It doesn't matter how well I do, 'cause some other lane is just going to feed their asses off, or pick some stupid champion that can't compete with the enemy team's picks, and lose the game. I'm tired of losing because of other people. So, I want to find competent teammates. High silver to low gold. People who actually have a fucking clue, and can actually play the game without feeding their asses off.

But, I don't want to add people who never play, or who play with me once and then just disappear. I want people who actually actively play the game, and actively invite people.

Anyway, currently S3, but have been at gold promos countless times. Fill main, and can do any role reliably. Bit of a hothead, but otherwise fine to be around.

Okay I'm gonna be real with you, you won't climb until you stop blaming your team and learn to focus solely on your own play. There's always room for your own individual improvement, and if you were really great you'd climb regardless of teammates. Stop the blame, hop on the elo train.

This isn't about whether or not it's your fault (although if you're losing more than winning it's 100% because you can't carry hard enough).

It's about how pointless it is to look at your teammates and how they're playing. Only thing that matters in climbing is your play, and that can always improve. You're almost certainly tilting or raging at your teammates despite potentially being in a position to win yourself the game. If you're fed as fuck you SHOULD be able to carry. Sometimes not, but hey, you'll still climb winning 55% of your games.

It's not about your match history but the average stats. The KDA you have seems ok although your winrate is below 50%. With this amount of games (1500+), it's hard to keep up a winrate of even 52%+ since you'd have gone a lot higher in elo. What I mean is that you possible are in the elo you deserve. Else, there should be an improvement in your winrate. I suppose you haven't learned much during your games in silver and now you own a deeply seated "silver style" of playing or mentality which can be hard to change anymore. My opinion is based on your current MMR which is slightly lower than the average you should have in Silver3.

You seem to play way too many champions and roles. Focus only on a few and find out which role you have mastered the most. "One-tricking" is not a bad habit since you most likely will REKT almost every game no matter who plays against you if you truly have got good with just 1-2 champions. Ok I read your comment about playing few champs so ignore this if it makes you sleepy.

Just some countings here: If you had a winrate of 52% and 1522 games played: 1522x0.52 = 791 wins , 1522x0.48 = 731 losses

Now let's assume every win is 20 LP and every loss the same: 791-731 = 60, 60x20 = 1200 more LP gained than lost

Therefore: 1200/100 = 12 divisions up

Not only this, if you had a better winrate your MMR would probably also be better and so your LP gains more favorable to you.

But with the current logic your ranked placement would look like this if your winrate was 52%: From Silver 3 to Plat 1

See? Find a way to improve your winrate a bit, and you will certainly rise if you play enough (which you surely do lol).

Very well put. And to add onto this, (if I'm correct), the more your winrate increases, the more LP you will gain on wins and you will lose less on losses. I just remember being on a horrible losing streak and losing way more LP than I won. Then I got onto an incredible win streak and won more LP than I lost. So eventually, it will go from winning and losing 20 LP to winning 21+ LP and losing 19- LP

And how fast is fast? If you have a good mmr, every game you win you should be getting somewhere around 20+ lp. Thats literally 5 or less games to get to promos (assuming you are winning every game).

Assuming you win every game and keep getting 20 LP, you can literally go from bronze 5 0 lp to master in less than a month

You do play too many champions and too many roles to effectively climb it appears. Yes, you have a good KDA but having a good KDA playing with players below you skill doesn't really equate to wins.

You should limit your roles and your champion pool and you will find greater success and improved win rate.

Well, at that point, why bother playing? Doing the same role / champion over and over bores me to tears, and I quite literally start falling asleep -- or at the very least, kind of zoning out. Being able to play a good portion of the roster is fun for me, and going all over the place is too. I don't think I ever really do that badly (though I do have bad games), so I don't know why it's such an issue.

It's not really an issue if all your looking to do is just to play at your lvl. sure, u might be doing fine at your rank( silver 3?) going 3/3 or 3/4 that's not bad, that's average. But the problem is ur looking to climb out of that rating. U can't expect to play like a silver 3 and be in gold. If u want to climb the fastest way is to find a main role and stick to it. Get like 2-3 champion in that role and improve those champion. But if ur looking to have fun and put the rating and Elo bullshit as like a secondary goal , ,then sure play what ever u feel like, I do that sometimes it's quite fun!

Well if you are playing to win and climb in ranked then playing different roles and different champions simply means you are probably adequate at everything, but not really good at anything. If you specialize and narrow your role or champion pool, you will likely win more games in the ranked ladder. I am not saying it is an "issue", but most Gold or higher players play somewhere between 2-3 roles and have a pool of 1-5 champions per role. Some play very few champions (I now only play 4 champions in ranked and two roles), but it is because they understand what they are best with and what role they excel in.

You play the other champions and roles in normals and you bring your more limited champion pool into ranked. That would be my suggestion if you get bored playing the same roles or champions.

I actually have fun playing the same champions, because it is easier to see marginal improvement with the ones I play frequently than by cycling through different champions.

Even the pros frequently say it is better to play the champion that you are best with than to try to play a champion you are unfamiliar with in order to counterpick.

By playing fewer champions you also begin to work on other aspects of the game, like decision-making, wave management, mini-map awareness, knowing when and when not to engage, etc. If you keep playing different champions and different roles you often spend a lot of your time on champion mechanics (which are different for each champion) and role dynamics (different per role).

I know the limitations of my mains in and out. I am highly familiar the common top lane matchups and how it relates to my main. I know when my champion spikes and when my opponents' spike. I know when I can and cannot kill an enemy laner with my main. I also know exactly when I can tower dive, how many shots I can tank in order to escape death and I know when I am going down with the ship to get a kill. Or even, when I make a mistake I can usually identify where I went wrong and exactly what I did wrong specifically.

I am simply making a suggestion that is a frequent observation for players in Silver or Bronze Elo. Almost all of them play too many roles and almost all of them play too many champions. You have a relatively good KDA on several, which suggests that you can play well, but that you may not be able to carry effectively with all of them or in every role. This makes it so that it is a coin toss on whether you win or lose a game.

Some champions and roles also have a harder time carrying and in lower Elo, where teamwork is very frequently absent. If you play well on a champion such as Blitzcrank but your team does not respond to your actions all the time, you can't win the game on your own. However, if you play a champion like Riven effectively, you can single handedly win a game with minimal cooperation from your teammates.

I would give you additional tips, but since you play so many roles and so many champions it is difficult to pinpoint what your game is lacking. Your CS appears OK for someone in your Elo, but it doesn't look high either.

You have played enough games at this point that you probably know which champions you are better with and which roles you are better in. You probably have champions you enjoy playing and those that you don't care for as much.

I am more of an extreme case, though I am not quite a one-trick pony. I am very aware though if I play another top laner or a different support in a ranked at the level I am at (so Gold II-Plat V players) I would get wrecked. Though I could probably play any champion in Bronze and have high success, I recognize I can't play other champions or roles and still win games consistently.

Its an issue because, if you narrow yourself to a primary and secondary role, and 3 to 5 champions, and really focus (take your Aderall maybe?) you will get so good that you will be able to lead your team to victory, more times than not. As it is, you are too upset by your teammates poor performance. I would be willing to be that you are much less than supportive of teammates who are not succeeding in their lanes. A positive attitude and masterly game play (of those 3-5 champs) should be more than enough to get you out of Silver. It isn't Bronze, where 1 out of 5 games is lost because of a DC, and 1 in five is literally trolled leaving only the truly lucky AND skilled a chance to escape Hell.

That's the point of this thread.

IT's very bad and irritating to climb because you must adapt with the fact that you mostly play with noobs who throw a lot.

In dota 2, we never have this problem. We either climb easy because we play with noobs or we keep on climbing because we are very good. And i don't mean very good to carry noobs, but very good at the game, simple as that.

I took a look at ur match history, more specifically at ur lose. Now I didn't look too deep so I don't really know how the match went exactly but assuming ur the one that's "carrying" you should never have a KD below 2.0. It's never worth to die for 1 kill when ur the carry. So that's something u could work on if ur looking to climb. Also try to play carry champions, champions that are designed to snowball very hard and destroy the enemy team. Chance are in silver, people have no idea of how to deal with a fed champion, so just abuse it for easy lp. Hell even in diamond Elo there are still many people who doesn't really know how to effectively stop a snowball. Like I mean they know what to do but when it actually happen, it's hard to applie all the things you know due to different reasons (tilt, stress, anger etc.)

Tl;dr Don't trade 1 for 1 kills look for opportunities to get more than 1 kill or objectives for ur death. Play carry champion that can easily snowball out of control(pantheon, lee sin, fizz, riven, yasuo etc.)

also if one is to "carry" a game one has to accept that every loss was preventable and that every loss is ones own fault, not because u didnt roflstomp ur lane opponents but because as the "carry" you didnt make the plays needed to win the game

for instance: i play vayne: vaynes win condition is to not die in lane phase farm her ass off and get the 3 item core + boots, then hypercarry the game because its vayne and lategame.... so if i dont feed the first 25 mins and i have farmed and farmed and farmed and got my core and i still lose, guess what when that fight brokeout in mid and all of a sudden yasuo got a double cuz ur jungle went but u as vayne said ima just farm so ur support stayed and it was a 3v2 mid because their jg and top roamed to the fight.... u just lost the game... not because u werent playing right but because you failed to make the right play which was roam to mid and it woulda been a 5v3 and their botlane might of came late to the fight resulting in an ace and a tower or dragon....

U had some interesting points but u can't make the right play every single time. It's better to make calls like at the start of the game u could say: hey look I'm playing vayne, I'm going to farm for the first 20 mins of the game so just stay back and don't over extend until I reach my power spike. When that fight a mid broke out u could say : guys just back off, give them the turret and just wave clear as best as u could with out putting itself in danger. Sit back and farm and wait until I become a monster.

trust me i say that every game i ask them just dont feed for 25 mins so i can farm out my 3 items and ill grant them freelo, the teams that listen and actually just sit under tower win the game because i transition the game from laning to teamfighting when im ready and take bot tower when im ready and then the teams that YOLO-Q are famous for.... cant sit under tower and wait patiently for the cs to come to them and have to push far af into the lane...... and then get jungle ganked for free????? this is bronze / silver elo not plat/dia if it was plat/dia people would see a vayne pick and be like ok lets be passive as shit til she gets all she needs to win

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dR6bNMe3yH0

Inside, he says a phrase of "Jack of All Trades, Master of None," which means yes you're versatile, however you don't have one specific strength because of that. Let's take a case in point for me: I can play any role effectively, however because of this, I don't play some roles quite as effectively such as Top or Jungle (My two worst roles). I would fill, trade and it'd pretty much end up with a roughly 50% win/loss.

However, a while back I put all my time and energy into learning Ahri and decided "you know what? screw this I'm going to pick my best hand to try and climb." Went from a 50% win/loss to 70-80% wins. There have been a couple of games where I lost due to some mistakes I or my team made or having to play my off-role Bot lane, but sticking to one or two champions/roles helps a lot more than you can imagine.

Stick to ~2 or 3 champions per role is my best suggestion so you will never be banned out and you'll always have a comfort pick.

I am smurfing on this account but I am sure, until Plat Tier any players can 1v9 in rank soloq. Some games can be lost because of your team, yes I understand; unlucky. That does not mean you have to blame your team for every game. Just try to improve yourself. If you team up with "those guys", it means you have the same skill as them. Tbh, if you played...4k games in silver tier... I am pretty sure you are not good enough to climb up. Good KDA is good, but that does not define the game.
