Mercy Rules and Killers game mode

I often feel like I am at the mercy of trolls, toxic players, and afk\dc's. I love League of legends but I am starting to loose interest in playing. Despite Riot saying that the overwhelming majority of the LOL community is free of toxicity, that has no bearing on how many games get ruined by shenanigans.

I would love for Riot to implement some mercy rules into non-ranked games (team builder, blind, and draft) at least. I have some example that would be easy to pop in and you can tell me what you think and maybe even why it could never happen. My main concern is free all of us from those that have grown weary of playing for fun of GG and have decided their only source of amusement is ruining a great community for everyone else. In addition server problems and lag can also ruin a game and it seems like a prison sentence to wait 20 minutes to start a new game only to have two players hold the other captive participants in a un-winnable game that the two constructed by design. Most players know that outside competitive play (above bronze), most players can't mount a successful comeback with a team of randoms.

Afk/DC If one or more players fail to connect before 5 minutes, or DC before level 2: Forfeit Voting starts at 10 minutes. At 20 minutes, a 3/2 vote is all that is needed for a forfeit. The odds of a player joining later than this and being a meaningful part of the team is almost nil. Yes, I have been a part of a game where 4 defeated 5 but it is less than one percent of the games I have played. If it happened you were lucky enough to have a gold or higher player on your team. Even just a Silver 1!

Mercy At 20 minutes if one team has double the kill\death ratio: 3/2 vote is all that is needed for a forfeit and possibly a free exit without penalty for those that want to leave. This might seem vague but i have rarely seen a lopsided game that was only 4 kills to 8. I am thinking more of the 10 to 20 games.

Killers Mode/Blood Nexus All towers Count as team kills and the first team to X number kills wins. 30/40/50 What have you. This will drop the guys that love killing but never pushing towers into mode of their very own. One game a said " I have never seen a number of kills that would make a Nexus blow up." Well that's an idea, I thought. I'm sure I am not the first. These type games become wars of attrition where I almost want to quit at the 70 minute mark even if i get reported. I can't tell if I'm playing with those that don't know how to win or those trolling everyone and just refusing to end it.

I would love to hear from Riot and the community on breaking the troll shackles.

Your Mercy rule leaves out one thing: League of Legends is about objectives, not about kills. At the very least you should make Gold Lead the resource in question, not kd, especially if there are only very few kills in the game in question.

Killer Mode is actually a pretty good idea, though it won't reduce the kill-happy players in-game, since an all-out kill-fest usually is not something people do all the time but when they notice their game works well.

You are correct on the gold lead. I failed to take into account that some kills are worth less than others and result in diminishing returns for the victor. Perhaps I should say Mercy at 20 if one team is ahead by 10k: 3/2 vote is successful ff. This would be in addition to the other rules though. Almost no one overcomes a 10000 gold lead. If that i found to be in error it could be put at 15k.

Thanks.
