Why's Vel'koz disabled?

Vel that's be'koz...

I played on the PBE, and when Vel'Koz uses his ult in the Poro gamemode the game would crash and disconnect everyone. Riot never payed attention to their community, so when they released it on here they had to disable him.

I won my one game played as him, but I win MOST games I play as him.

Still, it's worded similarly to the OP champion bans in urf mode and ascension, for example. Maybe the Poro King +mana buff made him too spammy and effective?

Just wait for the next Vel'koz skin...

Aw, I hope they fix it before the event ends. Vel'Koz is one of my best champions.

I played as battlecast Vel'Koz and the other team said they couldn't see any of my abilities being cast. I could see it and so could my own team so I assumed the other team was just BSing. Not 10 minutes later he was disabled so maybe that's why.

I wish I knew. Instead, I sit here waiting for someone to answer and enlighten me...
