Riot should add a small (+5% or +10%) IP boost to players who queue for the most needed role in TB

I'm sure everyone's sick of waiting for "that one role" that nobody seems to be playing at the time (cough cough botlane) and the little indicator that says "hey guys we really need someone to play support right now" as you queue up doesn't seem to be convincing many people.

So I'm thinking there should be some small incentive for someone to play the role that's needed most at the time, a slight IP boost if you queue up for the role in the top-left.

Will people use this to "Power farm" IP a tiny bit faster? they might. Will team builder be way better off for the efforts of those that do? You betcha.

I'm a support main and I approve of this idea.

Isn't shorter queue time already a bonus for filling a needed role? As a "fill" main I suppose this would help me but I don't think it's really necessary.

Riot tends to be a little stingy with their IP, but it's a good idea.

This is a great idea. I've noticed that the supply / demand in TB is off, and these types of small incentives could reduce wait times across the board. I get RIOT's reluctance to dilute the in-game currency, but I think this will really improve one of the most frustrating elements of play (wait time). BUMP

Omg, I completely support this idea, and in fact I was talking to friends about how this would be a decent solution. I mean, I have sat in Team Builder for over 20 min, more times than I would care to count. I would always just find something else to do or play some hearthstone, but sometimes the waits were brutal. Sometimes I am just really in the mood to try out a certain champ, and if it's not support, the wait times really kill the mood.

NO THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. if that happens, everyone will want to play support and no one will want to play the other positions. that's why the game is doing bad with support, no one really likes to play it. if you make the ip boost then people would fight over being support or they would not like to play the other positions, that is worse then people who don't want to play support. not sutch a bright idea in my opinion. just play with a friend who likes to play as Alistar Annie Ashe Blitzcrank Braum Fiddlesticks Galio Janna JarvanIV Jayce Karma Karthus Kayle KogMaw Kennen Leona Lissandra Lulu Lux Malphite Morgana Nami Nautilus Poppy Sejuani Shen Shyvana Singed Sion Sivir Sona Soraka Taric Thresh Veigar Volibear Yorick Zilean Zyra

I think the idea points at something else that Riot failed to accomplish. They started off s4 with the intention of making supports a more "fun" role to play with the bonus of added gold to actually buy items. They haven't been entirely successful with that. Basically we are in a situation because of Riot reinforcing a meta and not actively working on it, there is a role a large slice of the community would pick last.

Isn't quicker queue times enough?
