Its not meant for balance but its for fun.

This mode bring backs all the old unreworked champion into the pool such as ap corki, old tf, old master yi, old gragas and all the other champions.

I would call it patch mode. Select your champion, select the patch you want them in, and if you choose a patch before their current iteration, it brings back that sprite, the skills, and skill icons. It also changes your name just for that mode. So for me, say I chose AP MasterYi I would go from Windwolf777 to Windwolf777 (3.9)
