Would anyone be in favor of a timed game mode? Objectives!.... and kills

Would anyone be in favor of a timed game mode? They have it in chess. It would just be a way for people to work some stuff out. You would have 30 minutes to get as many objectives as possible. Turrets, inhibs, drags, and barons. And Baron and drag have faster respawn times after death. 10 kills would be worth a turret. I sometimes wish I knew when the game would end. Some people have parents that want to know how long they are going to be on that game. "30 minutes" or "I don't know" is the difference between playing and not playing. Cheers.

Thoughts?

I suggested something like this awhile ago, and I still think it would be a sweet thing to do. It would make people focus entirely on objectives. Like playing Halo Oddball and getting 50 kills, but losing the game. (Easiest example I had off the top of my head.) But this would teach people how to push objectives and split push better.

You just described Dominion. Despite not being timed, there time is pretty much everything. Objectives matter a lot more than kills, you can split push, you have to use the limited vision in your favor, you have to try to block the ways the enemy team can get to your towers while caring to quickly run to bot lane and help your teamate if he gets ganked, etc. The problem is that most people have no idea about what to do there so they go for kills. But it's pretty comon when a team of Dominion players is together against a typical SR players team to win even doing 30k (or even more) less total damage to champions than the SR players. And it's a mode that will go avg 18 minutes a match so you already have it in the game, somehow.
