An Idea to Improve ARAM

Currently the biggest problem in ARAM is a poke heavy comp will shove the other team behind their turret and then just keep them there while poking them so low they can never engage. This is neither a fun or interactive way of playing the game, you basically sit and dodge all day until you have enough items to survive the poke and hope you don't lose before you get there.

The addition of summoner 32item 3112 hasn't helped solve this problem because 1) tanks are way too squishy to engage with Dash early on and 2) Orb of Winter takes way too long to build so you only put yourself further behind.

The positioning and power of the health packs are a large part of the problem. The team that shoves has access to 3 which also restores their mana, while the team that needs them most only has access to 1. I would like to suggest a change that would help teams when they fall behind and encourage players to fight in the middle rather than shoving all the time:

  1. Make the health packs in front of the turrets not restore mana. This would severely diminish the mana available to poke comps.
  2. Make the health backs behind the turrets respawn 50% faster and also give a slow health regeneration effect that breaks on damage.

This would mean that the team pushed back would be able to regenerate enough health to reengage and force the poking team to go back if they want to take advantage of their bigger heal instead of just camping the front health packs. I feel the spirit of ARAM should be fighting on the center of the bridge, not start right behind a turret dodging an unrelenting assault of long ranged skill shots for most of the game.

You're low ELO. You don't know how to dodge poke and win lategame. I'm sick of these casuals!

So then they could just push down the first tower and get the added poke benefits of the second health pack.

The answer is simple. Each teams heals grant them effect. such as mana, health regen and maybe a burst of movement speed. If the enemy gets your health pack then they don't get the bonus effects. This would help them survives the poke and engage with the movement speed.

Why should health relics give anything to the other team? It's bad enough if the enemy takes your relic, that's already a huge disadvantage.

Health relics are really dumb in the first place, they're way too good and I think any Dominion player can attest to how much they affect the game.
