Is URF all it's hyped up to be?

So, I started playing League in May 2014, so I never ended up playing URF mode. However, I've seen several videos and heard so much praise on it, with people constantly spamming Riot Games to bring URF back. But is URF really as amazing as people say? I mean, basically it's just a game on Summoner's Rift with no mana and small cooldowns. Yes, it's fun, especially when you're someone like Annie spamming every ability to burst down people, but in terms of looking at what the mode brought to the table, URF isn't that amazing. Meanwhile, there have been several modes this year that I had a lot of fun with. My personal favorite was Rise of the Ascended. I really enjoyed that mode because it brought a full-on brawl type of feel to the game, with big fights in the middle over who gets Ascended, while Xerath is shooting bolts left and right. But on Rise of the Ascended and multiple other game modes, many of the comments were along the lines of "Oh, this game mode sucks, bring URF back!", which I disagree with. The most prominent example of this was with Snowdown. So many people kept talking about how boring this game mode was and how URF was so much better, and I find that kind of annoying, because people are just measuring it up to URF and saying that it sucks because it's not URF. Tbh I thought it was a pretty interesting mode, especially when you land the Poro King and start taking towers. But people just seem to hate this mode along with so many others, and over time it's started to piss me off, to the point where sometime I'm kind of hoping URF doesn't come back, just to show that it's not the amazing revolutionary mode it's thought out to be. So I'm going to post a poll here, seeing what people think of URF. I more or less want to see if anyone isn't riding on the Hyper URF train. So if you want to answer, feel free to. If you want to post a comment, feel free to as well (but unless your comment is making a decent arguement, not something like "URF is best mode ever and Snowdown sucks so stfu", I won't respond). Thanks, and GLHF.

its ok. dont get me wrong having your champs skills always up was great. its just after a while it just got boring because then a meta starts to develop and you are only allowed to play certain champs or else youll get reported by your teammates. Sadly when people start to take a joke mode seriously the mode stops being fun!

Well unfortunately it seems the majority picked that last choice on the poll... that was intended as a joke to make fun of the total URF lovers who spam Riot every day. But yeah, I just think that the idea behind it was so simple, anyone could have said it. And another thing, this mode doesn't really promote diversity. Bursty mages/spellcasters are really the strongest thing here, so if you like an Auto-attack reliant Champion (ex. Tryndamere ), you're kinda screwed. Now, don't get me wrong here, I don't absolutely hate URF, I'm just thinking maybe a. It's not the absolute best mode ever and b. give other modes a chance. So many times I've seen Bring Back URF spammed. Tbh I really actually hope NURF is coming out, because judging by the sound of it, it takes a lot more strategy than normal games, and one of my favorite but not often seen aspects of League is strategy (that's another reason why Rise of the Ascended was my favorite, I liked strategizing on how to get/steal the Ascension buff). Anyway, thank you to those who gave constructive comments below, since at first I thought I was going to get hit by a wall of hate. It's nice to see that people can enjoy URF without worshipping it, and if URF does come out tomorrow I will try it, since it does seem fun.

Oh, and one final tangent: I really don't think URF should be permanent. Many people ask for this, but seriously if that happens everyone would just play that mode. Even when URF was first released Riot saw that no one was playing Normals anymore, so if it was permanent, Normals would basically cease to exist.

I found URF to fun in the sense that it was ridiculous finding new ways to play characters. I personaly found one for all more fun.

It was the best thing ever until a "meta" started developing. The most fun I ever had was playing Orianna, continuously throwing the ball everywhere as fast as I possibly could.

Being a shaco or a maokai and to be able to toss 6 saplings down was a blast, keeping your opponent at bay, having to restructure some game thought, okay it was a bit annoying, but maokai was awesome in urf. Shaco, dropping 6 to 8 jack in the boxes, in the jungle, or lux final spark every 15 secs, teemo.... shrooms I thin u can lay 30.....garens demancians justice, nearly every champ has a purpose, and a new revitalization. It made playing the Champs we typical don't play, fun to play them again. How many of you out there limit your champ selection to say 10.... I'm guessing. I play random Champs all the time, as aram is my main mode. But most play possiblyour say within 10champs, as your comfort level is whom your best with.... we all have our rush to play solo top....I call mid, dammit I'm mid, I called it first...lol I pick what's left over, it's just a game. .. urf makes the game appeasing, that all champions are playable again....all.

Let's hope its brought back tomorrow, tonight or whenever, you feel the refreshment to try someone you haven't played in a long while.
