Bots: Advanced Mode

As we all know, there are three forms of bots, Intro, Beginner, and Intermediate. However, what comes after Intermediate, is Advanced. Problem is, Riot probably can not replicate a smart enough bot to beat players easily. So, I thought of bringing back the concept of Doom Bots, but some balance changes with it.

Doom Bots was a perfect mix of difficulty, and made players have to think outside the box to beat the bots, by split pushing. Why not make smarter bots, with stronger abilities, creating, Advanced Mode.

Advanced Mode has harder bots, that also clearly have stronger abilities then summoners, and will not have random abilities. Reason being, is so that players can fight against the bot's weaknesses, that should be clearly put in, and ways to beat the bots.

A system will instantly pick the bots, and each bot have ranks with them in the loading screen, that will rank from bronze, to challenger. The system automatically randomizes it, but makes the system as balanced as possible, depending on the** other player's performance** in matches, and rank.

If there are 3 bronze players, and a diamond player, and one platinum player, and we can pretend that each of these ranks are numbers, bronze being I, and diamond being 5, and platinum being 4, we can add all the numbers together, adding up to 12, divided by 5 = 2.4, which therefore calculates to about a gold level (for a challenge).

Another way, is to make bots depending on the player's ranks, entirely. Advanced Bots should only be available to level 20 or levels 30s up and up.

Now, I will describe all the new bot's abilities.

MissFortune Her strut is 30% faster, and she has a 55% extra attack speed. Intelligence is improved. She can buy items worth 1000 gold in the beginning of the game, and her ultimate and E is changed. Miss Fortune's ultimate now is a AOE blast, but there is ONE opening during her ultimate. Pretend MIss Fortune's ultimate is a pizza, and you take out a slice. She will spin around, (and mobile), and there is a small opening as she spins around. She does more damage with her ultimate, and it is difficult to dodge, only if you are in the opening in her circle. Miss Fortune's E will have a larger radius, deal double the amount of damage, and grant Miss Fortune maximum movement speed Strut, REGARDLESS of if she is in combat.

Nasus His intelligence is now improved, so that he now knows he must, stack. However, he gains 10 per stack, and has 40% CDR in the beginning of the game, and has a cap of 60%. His ultimate also now increases his range, by 150, instead of 75.

Shyvana will recharge into her dragon form MUCH quicker, (3x the speed), her damage with W is stronger, and a new passive is added, Shyvana is granted her ultimate at level 1, (still upgradable). She also gains 10 more movement speed, and deals 20% extra damage, and has 1 second lower cooldowns.

Annie Her stun recharges faster, and she has 400 movement speed in the beginning of a game. She has NO mana costs. Her bear Tibbers is now invincible to ANY magic attacks, and will only die to basic attacks. Tibber does more damage, moves faster, and also is bigger. Tibbers also has almost no weak points, and must be attacked from a certain side.

Chogath Now has a line of ruptures, (3 ruptures), no mana costs, has 10 feast stacks max, feast at level 1, and Cho Gath gains 50% extra health as a passive.

Ezreal Ezreal's ultimate now shoots in ALL directions (like Doom Bots), and Ezreal's W, and Q will shoot bolts all around him. Also, he has no mana cost. HF.

Teemo (die) Teemo's shrooms will plant, THEMSELVES. Meaning, Teemo has grown a fungus in his backpack, and shrooms sometimes drop out of his backpack (15 second cooldown) as he is walking around. And they are NOT triggered by minions, and only champions. Teemo's blind can also effect other champions nearby, and his poison will be more potent. Teemo's shrooms that have been placed down are also much bigger (2x the size)

Lux Lux's ultimate is now 3x the width, but is in a cone shape. Her Q will spew out other Qs (from doombots), and her W will be a shield for ALL of her health. Also, Lux has NO mana cost. yeah, you are screwed.

Darius Darius's ultimate will IMMEDIATELY reset on kill, at the earliest level, regardless, bloodrage activates at FOUR stacks, and his q is a much longer range, and his pull is too. There is NO cooldown on his Q. His range with his autoattacks is increased when he activates W.

Gangplank Gangplank has no cooldown on his barrels, and his ultimate has a larger width. (GP is limited by mana however, and there is a small cast time on his barrels, bout 1 second).

Malphite When Malphite ultimates, clones of him also use his ultimate in all directions, knocking any enemies nearby, creating a circle of knockups. The circle becomes a knockup circle, making any enemies who go in the circle, knocked up. His Q is also more deadly, and more, ROCK SOLID.

Trundle Larger pillar, more speed, and more tankiness. yup, what a troll.

MasterYi Yi can stay in his meditate, FOREVER, as long as he isn't cancelled. He has mana costs (obviously). His R also gives more attack speed, and ignores hard CC. His base AD is raised by 30, and he gets a free 900 gold in the beginning of a game, and his passive does a triple atack.

DrMundo Mundo want big cleaver! (big ass cleavers, no health costs, faster, more damage, k.)

Rammus If Rammus hits max speed on his powerball, and hits an enemy, that enemy takes 50% of their maximum HP. yup, you heard him. k. do all of his demands. k? However, it IS blocked by MR.

Garen He moves faster then any other champion on the rift, rocking that 450 base movement speed. pretty much the most OP thing you can give Garen.

Veigar A circle of Q's, W's, and his E is more potent. His R, deals true damage, because fuck you.

You had it when you suggested smarter bots and stronger moves. You even made a point to say that they don't get new special effects. (kinda). I think it was good there. Meaning only changing the numbers of the bots. Nothing like MF's pizza ult. Players need to know how to deal with the actual moves that those champions perform.

I think that bots should make a stronger attempt at landing their "combos" so that players can learn what to expect from each champion.

To be honest, bots are made to teach you how to play the game, after beating the bots you should play normals, then head to ranked if you're feeling it... having even harder bots is not required.

Doom bots were made after someone like you insisted for riot to make harder bots

Once you finish with the intermediate bots, you should be moving on to play normal mode. Having harder bots just doesn't seem like a good use of resources for Riot, especially since the majority of the players in un-ranked are basically just a harder version of Bots anyways.

I really like the idea of Advanced Bots, but only with a bit more intelligence, more health, and/or more damage. Range, etc. should not be changed as we do need to practice against what we would expect in a real game (as noted earlier in another post). I have learned new champions by going into custom games and then into co-op. I felt very good about my new abilities and would enter a pvp game, only to get my butt kicked. It is not fair to my team mates for me to be "learning" when they are hoping to win. Advanced Bots would solve this problem. It might even help cut down a bit on the constant toxicity when someone makes a mistake, as players will be better prepared to play against real people.
