Featured Game Mode: Tag Me In!
Overview: This is a featured game mode is based off those wrestling matches where you can "tag" in other teammates to fight in your stead. Instead of picking one champion that you can control, you can pick 2 or maybe even more champions during the pick/ban phase.
Details:
- You still only control one champion on the Fields of Justice at a time. Think of the other champion you picked in your "pool" to be on the sidelines, ready to be tagged in.
- The only time you can swap your character is at fountain.
- Whenever the champion you are controlling gains gold, the same amount of gold is earned by your sideline champions. Thus, as soon as you tag them in at fountain, you have a surplus of already generated gold to continue a build specifically for that champion.
Reasoning:
I thought this would be a very chaotic game mode where you can have a wide array of champions to pool from to match any (or at least more) situations. Your current team compilation is lacking CC? Good thing you had the hindsight to add
to your draft in exchange for
. Need a mobile assassin? Tag in
.
Concerns: My number one concern is that people will pick a good early game champion for early presence and laning/dueling potential, then later switch to a hyper carry, thereby navigating around the power dip of late-scaling champs. Does anyone have any ideas to inhibit this from happening? Perhaps they are required to switch everytime they recall?
Possibilities:
- You must change characters every time you return to fountain.
- You gain gold normally, thus your sideline champions will not have separate builds. You have the same items for each champion.
- Whenever you kill an enemy, they are unable to use that champion for the next X minutes. Think of it like a power play.
and so on....I'd love to hear other suggestions!
and the enemy team just caught you out?
