You guys have been giving a lot of love to The Howling Abyss and now to The Twisted Treeline, with new items and mechanics and such...

And The Crystal Scar just gets new minions and updated textures?

Are there more changes planned? Please tell me you guys aren't done, riot. This feels really bad, especially when 6 months ago you were asking us about what we wanted and that discussion has since ceased on your end.

Even if you have to tell me they're not coming right now, I'd really like to know we haven't been abandoned.

If that is all, we shouldn't be that surprised. It's just continuing the status quo.

Dominion is the Harry Potter living in the closet that Riot wishes it didn't have to take care of. Riot now uses protection and makes additional modes temporary only. I would guess they don't want one of their modes looking like trash to casual observers. Like trimming your lawn to keep the homeowners association happy.
