I was just wondering.
Last time, many old splashes were replaced with overseas splashes because they were "just better"
I'm wondering why things like: this
were not replaced with: this
and I feel this is not the only case.
(also, I hope to see the next wave of new splashes like Irelia and Anivia soon!)
Some of the chinese splash arts are even worse at representing the characters than the US ones and that Morgana one is not a good example.
Generally I would like new splash arts, which Riots has been doing recently. What I think they will do is update all the classic splashes first and/or the situation presents itself they will update the skin splash arts as well (if push comes to shove, they will use the chinese artwork for some of them temporarily).
I also can not wait for new splashes, just have to wait and see when they release them. The new ones are supper more detailed than any splash art we had before Vi (or Kha Zix).
Thats not even the worst offender, although definitely high up there, but if you look at Eve in the chinese splash art it makes you want to cry every time you look at the troll doll they use on the american art. :/
I feel like in that instance. The japan morgana splash is very VERY far away from the art style being presented in the newer american splashes.
