Proposal: change perfect icon requirements

I just came back from a match where half of the enemy team left thegame because one of my team ascended, thus making them lose the possibility to get the perfect icon. Now, i feel really compelling and competitive when i want to get the icon but I also have a huge letdown when the enemy ascends, and while that does not remove the fun of the mode a player does not feel much compelled as when he started, and some cases even worse. I like the idea of total negation of enemy ascension but i would like to have a different requirement, where if in the first 5 minutes of the match the enemy ascends you don' t feel demotivated ( and in some cases frustrated, for example if one if your team-mates crashes or is new to the mode and messes things up ) so it does not ruin what is a very fun experience and still the icon remains really hard to achieve.

A basic idea would be something that is still team-wide, and if one team gets it the other do not, but maybe something more focused on the last minutes of the game. Probably increasing the requirements to "ascend 3 times and not let the enemy to ascend 3 times" would be a partial solution? Maybe having an allied ascended champion at the end of the game? I don' t know, that' s why i am asking this here.

EDIT: to the people that keep giving tips on how to get Xerath and stuff: i know how to do, i know that is not such a challenging thing and i already have got mine ( heck i even have it on! ). the point is not how much it is hard, the point is that it is frustrating and demotivating and that is causing a lot of problems in the queque: people which his own focus is to get the icon and once somebody does xerath start flaming, getting toxic and in some cases leaving. And even with all your tips on how to get it and so on nothing changes, because if you get it the enemy team won' t, so there will be flame and toxicity on the other team and so the match becomes SHIT. And i want to stomp my enemies! It' s not a matter of life and death winning or losing but if i play i play because i want to have fun and i want to be compelled to do my best in order to fight my enemies ( in the most sportmanship way obviously ) and the whole requirements for the icon can ruin the match to many and many people! That is why I made this thread.

The main thing I dislike is me and my team were having a perfect game when the enemy team stole ascension with a Ziggs ult just as we captured our last relic to win so we didn't get the icon.

the requirements should still be hard, but yeah, it shouldn't be so frustrating to achieve.

I imagine you'd get it after awhile. Try finding a 5 man on voice. Coordinating your team comp and where to teleport came in very handy for me. Also, I found Ascended Swain to be hard to take down.

It's not really that tough to get. I mean it is challenging but once you have figured out a good strategy (Our team just focused on protecting our ascended) you'll get it eventually. Riot wanted to make something truly difficult have a cool reward and I think they did it right. Too many games these days have gotten too easy and dumbed down. While I hated that feeling of knowing I couldn't get the achievement after only a couple minutes into the game. The feeling when I DID get the achievement was great. Keep at it, and you can do it!

I got it on the very first game I played. it's a simple strategy. Protect the Xerath in the mid and your ascended champ. Run around and cap the points on the edge, but always make sure you can send in 2-3 people to disrupt them capping mid, or alternatively, go around as a 5 man team with your ascended ally. Hand them kills, because they get more points. Walk the map in a circle, capping the points as you go and you'll be fine.
