Ban Kat from Hexakill
9 out of 10 games a Kat dominates the game, hell games are quickly become who has the better Kat... or has the best counters for Kat...
Note - Kat is NOT OP but she is crazy stupid in this mode...

I agree. She's the sole reason I can't enjoy this mode, and most of the temporary modes for that matter. There's always a select few champions that dominate every single match and ruin the whole experience for everybody. It's just sad.
Katarina and Yi are the two champs who just suck the joy out of this mode for me.
The few games where no one picked kat has easily been the most fun of this mode

is the most anti-fun champ for all the modes of this game, in urf highlander every 10 seconds, and alpha strike every 2 seconds,in hexakill TTl pretty much go ham and dive the whole team and got 1 or more kills at once.
Weirdly I've yet to see a Kat in this game mode, and have only seen one Yi and he just got pubstomped every time he came up.
Kat and Yi are a nightmare, but Sona is becoming a bit of an issue as well. She's already a near guaranteed win on Howling Abyss, and given the mechanics of Twisted Treeline, she can make a team with horrible picks and zero coordination dominant whether laning or roaming.
I agree. Every fucking match it's just Katrina kill stealing or decimating entire waves of minions and starving everyone else. No choice but to wander to the other lane and try play that. She's like Yi in ARAM. Totally throws out the fun of the game because if you don't focus her and shut her down so absolutely, she'll fucking wreck everything in the game. Which is made all the harder as most Kats will just hang at the back till everyone else on the enemy team is low and then kill steal every fucking thing.
oops been playing Kat on hexakill since PBE. Had like 50 kills but she got boring lol
Solution. Add bans to Hexakill TT. Problem solved. Keep the picking blind, but let each team ban out the Kat's, the Yi's and the Fizzes. Suddenly, the game is a ton of fun again!
It's not who have better Kata, its which team has better counter. I mainly picked

and two of my Kata's and one Yi got an Hexa; In all 3 matches the other team had Kata and Yi but barely any disables for my team kata and yi: no stuns no roots no "Cuddly incoming!"...
There are a lot champions that can counter her, the problem is most summoners pick AD's for current Hexa no supports, very rarely a 
.
In one of the matches, Kata did the hexa under turret accompanied just by Lulu with help of 2 lulu shields one speed buff and 2 "Cuddly incoming!". The other team only had slows (

The only part about Kat that is not fun is that almost every match has one. But then, almost every match has a Yi as well. Kat's not even that good on this mode, it's all about how your team plays. I haven't played many Hexakill matches, but I've yet to see a Kat actually carrying the game WITHOUT being previously fed by a good teamwork or a total retard enemy team.
I had the craziest hexakill match, it lasted 40 minutes. Kata was on the enemy team, just focus her and she’s doomed.
Just cc her than. You have one extra player to cc her as well. What do you mean by she needs to be banned. You said urself she isn't OP, so why does she need to be banned? You're contradicting yourself.

TL;DR: at higher ELO (ie gold) you don't see Kat as much because everyone knows how to counter her with CC. Low level games have 2 Katarinas every game, but higher up it's maybe 1 Katarina every 3rd or 4th game at most, and it's not game-breaking.
Ask any Kat player...just bring along a Thresh or a Soraka or a Blitzcrank or a Leona, and the Katarina players will nope the fuck right out of there. If everyone on your team is trying to play a burst assassin of some sort, then you just have a bad team comp.

Yeah, the problem isn't with Katarina being OP. There are better champions than her for Hexakill imo (Lux, Zyra, Ezreal). Katarina is just "dumbing down" the game. Especially, when there are 2 Katarinas in game. Suddenly the skill doesn't matter that much and it all comes to which team gets low enough first, so enemy Katarina can roll her face over keyboard and kill everyone in 2 seconds.
It's not even about Katarina. Looks like yesterday it was Katarina, today people discovered Yi. Resets should be toned down in this mode globaly, imo.
See I agree having a Kat or Yi in Hexakill means that the game is likely not going to be a fun one. What's worse is that inevitably when the person playing one of these champions has 30 kills they get cocky and talk smack, and its like: "Dude you are playing a no-skill champion on a small map that is designed like ARAM without the random element, do you want a cookie?"
I do think a good counter for me has been Sona which I think once she has been given enough cooldown reduction and mana regeneration on this map like in ARAM also becomes unstoppable but in a good way because at least it can balance the teams against this kind of OPing.
I remember one conversation where the guy playing Yi had gotten 27 kills and 3 deaths, and kept talking smack, and I finally cooled him off saying, "Hey I'm playing sona in the support role, full support build. I have 4 kills 6 deaths and 30 assists, you have died 3 times and all of them came from me. You can't talk smack when all three of your deaths came at the hands of a support champion." All three of his deaths came when he tried to gank me and was unable to do it, and if you cant gank a super squishy champion like sona and die instead it means you suck.
Kat seems to be OP in every mini-game Riot makes. URF was an instant win for whoever picked Kat (which made me tear my hair out whenever people didn't ban her at my request).

I agree she can really get to rolling on this map but that is only due to players not CCing her and using her as their feeding pool.
Seriously just focus her early game and feast from then on.
We all have champs that we particularly hate to see in any game but face it every dog needs their day (or couple of weeks) to shine.
This one just happens to be Kat's (but that is only if you and your team don't do their jobs).
