Will you ever make a PvE mode? I'd love one that has a Dracolich as a final boss
(I know we just got Ascension mode, but hear me out, will you?)
League's always been PvP, but I think it'd be awesome if there was eventually a PvE mode where it's 5-10 players against an unending horde of uber minions, mini-bosses, and one big bad Dracolich as the final boss. Might seem like an MMO thing, but I think it'd be a fun experience.
Here's how I'd do it (I haven't thought of EVERYTHING, so bear with me):
-
The map is Summoner's Rift. The players start out at the Blue Team base, with the final boss locked inside the Red Team base. The Red Base is blocked off by three barriers that cannot be entered (even with blinks or jumps or TF's ult).
-
The Red Base will constantly send strong minions (they have bonus capabilities and/or stats) down each lane toward the Blue Base, trying to kill the Nexus. If your Nexus dies, your team loses. The minions are endless, so you have to win by killing the final boss before you get overrun (don't worry, you'll only REALLY have trouble with those waves after 30-40 minutes).
-
You can also try jungling, but it's much more dangerous than usual. You might want to have a duo-jungle strat going.
-
To release the barriers, the players must defeat a series of mini-bosses located where the Red Team's turrets would be. Be warned, however, these mini-bosses are tough, and generally require multiple Champions to defeat.
-
Defeating all mini-bosses at the Outer/Inner/Inhib positions (respectively) lowers one part of the barrier, allowing more access to Summoner's Rift and more ways to get rewards. However, with each barrier that drops, the enemy waves will become tougher.
-
Removing all of the barriers reveals the way to the Final Boss: the Dracolich Plagueis (yes, I'm picking him :p). Plagueis is an absolute monster that makes Baron Nashor look harmless. He deals HUGE damage (of both types, so resisting him is harder), has lots of CC, inflicts Grievous Wounds with all attacks (sorry, Soraka), and takes a while to kill even if you've got multiple carries (and even if you have a Vayne). What's worse is that the longer you take to beat him, the stronger and stronger he gets. You will need an entire team to take him down. Thankfully, when fighting him, you don't have to worry about his minions attacking you; they die if they're too close to him while he's in combat (sort of an "I'll kill them myself!" thing).
Sounds like fun?
