I was happy about URF Mode returning...

Rivini··5 votes·1,214 views

Then I saw the problem champions weren't disabled. We all know who they are and why they were disabled before. I didn't think it would be that bad at first, especially since most of them received special balancing. Perhaps it will be tolerable now to have them in the mode!

...I was wrong. So wrong.

The special balancing is hardly noticeable at all and hasn't stopped everyone from picking the same cheese champions. That's a clear indication they need to be disabled, not balanced.

It's not possible to have fun in this mode now. Everyone picks the same cheese in every match because there aren't enough bans, so no diversity like before. It's frustrating to play against and takes all the fun out of it, and I really don't want to have to lower myself to their level just so it can be a level playing field.

It was a very poor decision to not disable them.

They nerfed them ahead of time so they wouldn't have to disable them. Probably the only champion that isn't OP there is Yasuo, because he doesn't scale off CDR or use mana anyway. How would you feel if your favorite champions were all banned just because they were good? That would suck. Riot is looking out for you, try not to spit in their face for it.

I answered your question. No one complained when they disabled champions last time.

That is pretty ignorant. I'm ending this conversation. No point in talking with a person who uses blatant lies to convince themselves they are right.

Who is lying? Are you saying there were mass outcries when the problem champions were disabled before?

From what I remember, everyone was grateful when they finally got disabled.

I get the feeling Xemeron guessed correctly. It upsets you to think they could be disabled again because you can only rely on whatever is the most OP to win (in any mode). That's the only thing that makes sense about you getting antsy over this. The "using a different champion each match" line sounds like a ruse.

Yes keep making up whatever you feel is true, with absolutely no evidence. It's not like my match history is hidden from you.

At your elo range, of course you will do well with any champion. At higher elos, we know how to abuse the problem champions.

So you accuse me of something I'm not doing, then when you realize you are wrong you shrug it off as "Oh well, you just aren't doing it because you aren't good enough". Wow.

I didn't strictly accuse you. I was making an educated guess based on your teen angst.

Explain what I was lying about before.

There's no ounce of truth to this. How can you honestly believe nobody disliked having certain champions disabled? Like I said, that's simple ignorance.

And, your guess was not educated in the slightest. Your attempts at insulting me I am not insulted by (because they are not remotely true), but you are becoming annoying. Please save your breath, I won't be reading any more of your nonsense, as I should've stopped at the first hint of your dishonesty and baiting.

I'm having trouble finding the official announcement where they stated they disabled Sona, Hecarim, Alistar, etc., but here are some threads: http://forums.euw.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1668950&page=1 http://forums.oce.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=55624&page=1

You will see gratefulness, although not as much as there was in the official announcement, along with suggestions for others to be disabled. I didn't mean literally everyone liked having the anti-fun champions disabled, but they greatly outnumber the ones who disapproved.

When there is something in a game providing such a negative impact to the experience, it will be dealt with. That's what good designers do and why they were disabled before. It's not rocket science.

I never insulted you, but okay. If you're that insecure, it's best that you do leave before you become more of an annoying gnat who has no business harassing me when the topic of the thread apparently has nothing to do with you. If you're playing whatever champions you want, go ahead. If some of them become disabled again, you will have a mere 6-10 less to play with out of 120+. Big whoop, right?

You aren't making any sense. Are you saying I'm only saying this because I use the OP champs or something? Wrong; I am using a different champion each match, regardless of how it performs in URF.

Do me a favor and read the first post.

Ban the three top troublemakers, then chill and relax and pick someone.

Almost everyone is OP on this mode, especially mages and/or assassins. I can go Karma and dominate mid lane, for crying out loud, and I don't even play mid. Ever.

You are going to wreck, and you are going to be wrecked. You will play annoying champions that you don't find annoying but other people do. Go ahead, name a champion you played in URF.

The point of the game is to relax and have fun. They even toned down healing to be less oppressive (if still annoying) and buffed damages (double standard, much?).

Aren't enough bans in the world for what you need.

IcyPepper2 votes

People in ranked say that too. XD

Instead of arguing about a limited featured game mode, let's have a riot for Riot to give us more bans!

BronzeVOnly2 votes

You are wrong OP. Every champ is OP. I only played 3 games: Teemo, Yi, Annie.

http://i59.tinypic.com/33v2ssm.png

Teemo

  1. 20 Shrooms
  2. MARKSMAN so much faster autos which apply poison
  3. Q is up every 2 seconds so if you keep spamming Q the enemy can NEVER AUTO ATTACK YOU. Let that sink in a bit.

MasterYi

  1. Q is up every 1.5 seconds or so and allows you not only to deal AOE damage but to dodge EVERYTHING, even tower shots
  2. If you get a single kill or assist, your R is ALWAYS up. ALWAYS. Did I say ALWAYS?
  3. No mana so free heals/shields VERY often

Annie

  1. Stun is up every 2 seconds with rotation spam. As close to perma stun as you can get in this mode.
  2. Tibbers if not killed is ALWAYS up since he is on a 24 second CD and lasts for 45 seconds...you do the math.
  3. With flash up every minute she has possibly the best engage in the game now.

On second thought, I'm going to post this on a new thread.

You are wrong OP. Every champ is OP. {snipped}

By that logic, every champion is equally balanced/OP in non-URF SR as well.

Teemo: So he can perma-blind a single enemy. AP Ezreal thinks Teemo is putting on a comedy routine with it. What good does blind do when Alistar, Blitzcrank, and others with spammable lockdown focus him at the same time? Q doesn't stop abilities. Shrooms and E are nothing when the enemy team has Sona, Taric, Nidalee, Nami, Kayle, and Alistar spamming their heals, plus Lux, Lulu, Karma, Orianna, Janna, Sona (again), and so on giving themselves and allies perma-shields. Have you even played Teemo vs. Galio yet? I can still hear AP Ezreal laughing about the blind. Verdict: not broken.

Master Yi: Pretty much the same thing as Teemo. A single stun/knock up followed by a chain of other CC = dead Yi. Can't Meditate when he's floating in the air. Verdict: same as non-URF Yi.

Annie: I already know how annoying she is in URF. There is a possibility she could be disabled or at least receive a special change to her stun, like requiring 1-2 more spell casts to get the stun. They nerfed Brand's stun so he couldn't stun lock anymore, so I wouldn't be surprised. Probably won't happen, though. Verdict: may be addressed by Riot.

Despite everyone getting a huge boost in DPS, survivability, etc., some champions are simply more broken than the rest. That's why they disabled some of the biggest offenders the first time (durr...). They provide a negative experience to the opposing team and the only way to beat them is to join them, assuming equal skill.

I see a ton of diversity. You probably do too, but aren't able to see it due to the psychological bias caused by one or two bad games out of every five.

No, I've seen some diversity, but non-broken picks don't work unless the rest of your team consists of problem champions to pick up your slack. This is probably not an issue in your elo range.

For me, it's not every 2 out of 5 matches where it's full of problem champions. It's every match. Win or lose, doesn't matter. It's not fun. Therefore, they are all bad matches.

I see the problem now. You're not having fun because you're toxic. Mystery solved!

You shouldn't throw around that word without knowing what it means. It's not what you call someone in a higher elo than yourself.

Compare a bronze Nidalee to a gold+ Nidalee. The difference is night and day. That's a fact, no matter who says it.

lol, no shit. The thing is, 1. you have no idea what my elo is, and 2. elo has no effect in URF.

There is no way you meant it as anything other than an insult, and that makes you toxic.

Schooled.

Not having an issue with the problem champions is an indication you're playing against low elo players. What could that also mean, I wonder.

Saying someone is in a low elo range isn't insulting them, unless the context is there to back it up. It's stating a fact. If I had said "you don't know better, bronzie" instead, that would be an insult.

"Schooled"? What is this, the 80's?

Only 9 champs were permabanned last time, so you can still ban up to 6 (depending on who the banners feel)
