Played it, is pretty damn nice. One thing though, Banner of command's active no longer works. I figure it has something to with the the lack of a model for the empowered siege minion.
CANNOT JOIN A GAME. I joined a Blind Pick Game for Updated SR. It goes in the loading screen and it loads for a bit. Then the client crashes. I try to reconnect multiple times but it doesn't even go to the loading screen, it just crashes. Then I try to make a custom game with bots. It does the same exact thing. I really hope you fix this problem before it gets to the real game. Because it could physically prevent me from playing the game and maybe others too.
I played a 30 min or so game last night. Here are my notes:

Just soloed Baron with Caytlin without taking any dmg. Throw the wall.
Whenever I die to dragon the symbol for dragon is a blue square inside the circle instead of a picture of dragon.
I need to patch tbh.

It definitely needs some tuning, but man, I'm loving how my eyes don't hurt if I stare at it for too long.
Also, with all the clutter our current map has, I have to phase it out of my vision so I don't distract myself, so I'm loving the clarity as well.
Would be lovely to play with you, but I dont have access to the PBE :( Bacon give me access to PBE? :D you would be my favorite rioter 5ever!
The Map itself is an absolute beauty I can say that for sure. Couple things that were noted when i first played on the PBE. Firstly the PBE resets all graphics settings so those of you whom enjoyed custom settings for optimized game play will need to redo that. Secondly i noticed that ground specific techniques have a few display issues. The main one I was able to notice was Thresh's Box. The floor indicators are not visible in certain parts and only the claws sticking out of the ground could been seen. That's all iv'e noticed as of yet and must say I'm blown away by the dedication riot is putting into this Update and am super excited as to where this could lead. Thank you Riot and have a great Day.
Its amazing but kind of laggy i was playing thresh and my hooks were freezing in mid air :( but its still amazing :))
I don't know about you guys but I miss cobble roads in the basses. Now the base looks "too clean" I would be really satisfied if the artists made it a "litle messy"
Also Flowers? where are they? :)
And hate the fact that the Dragon sleeps in Water... mhm
Does anyone know if we are allowed to post gameplay footage of it on Youtube? I'd love to share my reactions to it with my friends.
I am really missing some details in the new SR, both on the ground and on/in the walls. I had the feeling in the old map that each part had different, unique parts. The new walls look all the same, as does the ground.
As example: If you look at the old dragonpit, there were lots of lily pads, flowers, torches, some glowy crystals and grass, besides the trees around. The new dragonpit looks awesome, but it lacks all that detailed stuff we got in the old map. I really wish you would improve that!
Hey guys, I had some thoughts about the SR VU pertaining gameplay:
I had an idea specifically about the dragon update. I don't have access to the PBE, so this is coming from watching gameplay videos. One thing that you guys at Riot mentioned about the gameplay improvements you wanted to make to baron and dragon was to change their behavior to make it seem more like a boss battle.
So here's what I'm thinking: Great job already on Baron. I feel that dragon could use some work. Because it is the lesser boss a single attack seems fine, but what if, as it lvl'ed during the game, it gained two more skills:
***At spawn and for the rest of the game it has one of the following three skills (can be randomized if you like), and at level 11 and 16 it gains one of the other two skills.
1st Skill: Flame Lance- The already used line of flame that mirrors
's laser, but follows the currently focused champion, dealing damage and damage over time for 2 seconds.
2nd Skill: Wing Gust- The dragon whips its wings in one hard movement toward the champions in a cone. It knocks them back 100 units, and slows them. This move can also buff the dragon, making it attack faster, or it could debuff the champions, causing them to miss more of their attacks for 1.5 seconds.
3rd Skill: Rain of Fire- The dragon lands, rearing back and spitting up fire from the depths of its stomach. The fireballs rise up and scatter, falling in a 100-400 unit radius around the monster, damaging champions hit for a percent of maximum health. (This could utilize ground markers to show where the fireballs would land.
I don't expect this to be read, but I think that treating the dragon like a champion that gains skills as it grows stronger would make it a more interesting fight for all.
You guys do great work at RIOT. Keep it up! Can't wait for it to hit live!!
