Make it that when a custom game has only ONE human "/PAUSE" automatically pauses the game (and doesn't say "waiting for response" - which is dumb).
So if know supper is soon I can start a custom game to practice Nasus and pause when it's supper. And for the 100 other times when I wanted to pause a custom match. TY Rito.

Also if supper is soon, why are you starting a game? Usually if I want to try a quick practice I join a Dominion or 3v3. Dominion is great for non-laning practice. A few items are different otherwise it's constant combat. If it's CSing, then pausing your game shouldn't matter much. As you can start laning almost right after a new game.
Not saying it's a bad idea. I just don't see the point of it.

If supper would be in 15 minutes I can't do either but would love to practice vs some bots; so why not play 15 minutes, pause, and then come back in 20 to finish the match?

Dominion can easily be over in less than 20 minutes. If you want to practice combat this is the better choice. Also gold/xp is generated like on HA. So it's harder to get so far ahead you're 1v5ing the team. Even if you have to leave early you likely got more practice of combat in on this map than a whole game of SR before those 15min.
TT has a shorter distance to minions than SR. If you want to practice farming/CSing this is the better choice.
Only place SR is better is for the general feel of the map and jungling. Far as jungling goes, most of what you would practice is over before 15min.
Why should the server be loaded with your game for an extra 10-20 minutes because you started a game knowing you had to eat soon?
Again I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I could easily see your game being meaningless to the server which is hosting thousands already. But I just find it pointless. There are better options for what you're looking for.

I agree with your sentiment. Also, I want to point out that this is no SR exclusive...you should be able to pause TT and Dominion too!
But to calm you down have a pause limit: 15 -30 minute limit and then the game either ends or unpauses.
