My queue for doom bots is longer because there are more players...?

I just got a notification saying that due to the demand for this game mode, there is a longer wait time. Is that a joke? There are MORE people playing, therefore it takes me longer to get matched with other players... Anyone care to enlighten me to how this works? So we get long wait times with low amounts of players, long wait times with high amounts of players, but good wait times for... regular amounts of players?

Does SR not have a high demand? I don't get it. Just put me in a game with 4 other people, holy fucking shit.
