I'll know her as a female just because Kled says "girl" quite a bit as opposed to he/she, but word of God, Kled has absolutely no idea and it's whatever you want it to be. :P

Much to learn, you (all) still have. Seriously, haven't you seen Jurassic Park? Earliest reference that I know of to gender-changing animals. Google took care of the rest. :/

So I would guess Kled refers to a he or she depending on when Skaarl actually is a he or she.
