Expanding the fantasy races in the champion roster

Now I belong to the group of people who'd like Riot to flesh out the different fantasy races of runeterra a bit more.

Seeing champs like Trundle Alistar Skarner and pretty much any of the vastaya(if you look at the individual tribes, not the vastaya as a whole) gives the impression that their races were pretty much just designed to justify the existence of these champs(and I'm pretty sure that this is the case) and it becomes kinda jarring how most of these champs are disconnected from the rest of their race(not a single vastaya is an actual member of their tribe,Alistar and Skarner are seperated from the rest of their race and Willump&Fizz are the last members of their race).

So how can we change this? Well the best way to do it would be to add some diversity to these exsting races, because pretty much every champ in the game has some theme that is unique to them and them alone, even if some themes are overlapping a bit, there is always at least 1 theme that is unique to only a single champion.

And in general there are pretty much 2 methods to add diversity to a race in LoL. **1. **Make the individual members of the race so unique that they essentially fill different themes/fantasys(examples of this are the voidborn, demigods or spirits in LoL). **2. **Give the champs unique jobs/classes that they share with no one else(this is why we can have so many humans or yordles).

And I feel like both of these methods can be used to introduce more Trolls or Vastaya. I mean a meager Troll(or a Troll child) could easily recreate the fantasy of a goblin, while an old Troll witch could easily fit the fantasy of an old hag. Meanwhile the vastaya are freaking shapeshifters,so it would be easy to introduce a marai that is based on an angler fish or an octopus(really my only problem with Namis comic was that the marai looked very similar, not really taking advantage of the possibilities of the vastaya),but they could also set themselves apart through their different classes,so while Rengar is our only trophy hunter in the game they could introduce a second kiilash that is a tribal warrior instead.

Now for the minotaurs and the brackern it is a bit more difficult to introduce any other champs, because there isn't really much unique about Alistar or Skarner besides being our "minotaur "and "scorpion"-champs respectively. In my opinion I'd say that the first method would be great for the brackern(making it so that other brackern are based around other animals) and in Alistars case they could emphasize his "class" as an arena fighter or something like that(though I guess this would need a rework)

So what are your opinions about this? Do you want riot to expand on some of these races or do you think that the way they are now is ok?

Explaining all the races (origins, physiology, populated areas) is what Riot should eventually do. Yes, this includes humans as well.

Also, what's the deal with the treants? Yeah, there are two of them, Ivern and Maokai, but they're so completely different in origin. But are they both of the same species, then? Or was even Maokai originally a human at some point?

{quoted} Fizz are the last members of their race

Fizz is a yordle now, just saying

I've been hankering for another minotaur and troll for years. Skarner is supposed to be the last of his kind so it's understandable that he might be the only one we'll see.

I want a minotaur most. I'm pretty sure trolls have more lore as a species atm and they're tied into the whole freljord lore we've gotten. Minotaurs have nothing except that they live in the Great Barrier (who knows if that's still canon).
