Everyone calm down,Deadeye/Jhin didn't kill anyone

Seriously so many people are flipping out thinking that Zed Sona Garen & Vi got killed by Deadeye/Jhin,but I really doubt that any of them died.

I mean it would be a really stupid decision from a writers standpoint to kill off these 4 champs without resolving any of their plotpoints, before they even got a relevant role in any story, just to hype the upcoming champion.I mean VI never found out anything about her past,Zed was never confronted by the kinkou trio, etc. Not only that, but why would the shots be presented in such a mystical way if all they do is kill their target? There is clearly a deeper meaning behind them.

EDIT: It would also be especially jarring because those 4 would be the first real deaths in the story and it would set a really bad sign if the first deaths are anticlimatic deaths that are just there to hype a new champ.

What if; Deadeye is killing them in a dream world to inflict real world pain on them, and the teasers are of the dream?

Not killed, wounded or enlit in some way. Perhaps he made them face their inner demons?

Think about it.

Zed's Ninja nature. Sona's muteness. Garen's love for Katarina. Vi's origin, as someone who turned her back on Zaun.

It isn't so much the death of the champions but rather where this mystical "shot" is centered.

With Zed, he looked into the figurative Pandora's box, gaining power at the cost of his life. The teaser makes one think that Zed is either blinded by Deadeye/Jhin, or he is forced to look inward at himself.

Sona has a stream of magic and light coming from her throat. She is also without her etwahl, which she uses to express herself with. What one can get from this is that she might be able to talk now and directly convey her thoughts.

Garen is heart, body, and soul Demacian. But he loves Katarina which is causing him internal conflict. He is breaking apart at the heart, and my guess is that Deadeye/Jhin is forcing him to choose between his loves.

And finally Vi (my jungling main). She is confidence and violence in equal parts. But she doesn't know who she really is, and for her entire life violence has been the only answer to most of her problems. Perhaps Deadeye in destroying her gauntlets and opening her heart has forced her to think of different solutions.

I think Deadeye/Jhin isn't trying to kill these champions in a literal sense, but rather trying to show each of them a truth about their particular existence. He is forcing each of them to showcase an inner struggle, and perhaps come to terms (maybe even peace) with themselves. Vi might not completely give up her life, but maybe her first option won't always be punching her problems.

I sincerely wish the REAL DEATH happens to Teemo

What if hes like A Genie , because well his names jhinn.. Djinn, but instead of granting our greatest desires through wishes , ( ͡O __ʖ ͡O) , takes them away for his own power , since you know .... all of the pictures has something being taken from them , with something else

I actually don't know what will happen: From one side, I think Riot's Lore team has enough talent to not have to resort to "darkier and edgier" storitelling in order to make a new hero interesting, yet at the same time they have done things similar to that in the past, like how Jinx eludes VI and Cait like they were nothing, and the infamous Jayce lore.

We'll have to wait and see. If they actually kill off 4 character in order to make a new one's preview, it will mark the limit of the Lore team's storywriting abilities. We can call the game's lore over at that point.

Jhin is into theater the obvious answer is that he killed them in some sort of theater show non real deaths

Idk...its convincing. If not killing, then its more likely there are unconscious. But then again who knows yet.

Ha ha, "resolving plotpoints"

There have been maybe THREE instances of this, all of which were in the past year with the Bilgewater stories.

I agree with the theory he's meant to represent an actual Djinn, and the champions shown / the specific locations each were struck represent a wish Djinn granted for them.

I'm assuming it's a typical Djinn and therefore a trickster. So it gives you what you want, but with a catch.

So the impacts aren't meant to deal damage or kill, but a snapshot showing Djinn's magic in the process of granting (or twisting) their wish.

Must not make comment about how salty I am over the old lore.
