So let's talk about the new direction in the lore for Fizz

Fizz is an amphibious yordle, who dwells among the reefs surrounding Bilgewater. He often retrieves and returns the tithes cast into the sea by superstitious captains, but even the saltiest of sailors know better than to cross him—many are the tales of those who have underestimated this slippery character. Often mistaken for some manner of capricious ocean spirit, he commands the huge, carnivorous beasts of the deep, and delights in confounding his allies and enemies alike.

Now this is interesting. We've confirmed he IS a yordle, which really makes it ambiguous as to what can qualify as one. He also seems to be regarded as an ocean deity by superstitious locals. Things I like about this: Fits him in nicely with the new lore while retaining his personality. This is good, because it means he'll remain familiar in character to whatever his new story will be. Thing I don't like: It seems they removed his character motivation/personal quest. Thus, it's unlikely we'll see the mystery of what happened to his people solved.
